repackaged, broken and dirty
The telescope had obviously been repackaged. The lenses were in a plastic bag...they were cracked and filthy.

Gets the job done
We bought this telescope as a birthday present for our 11 year old daughter. The tripod is very good for this price: very sturdy yet easy to point the telescope by unlocking the position and then tightening it at a new location with the knob on the arm....
