The mechanism for keeping the bread down while toasting is faulty. As my husband said - it's a simple toaster, don't they check these things before they leave the factory?

I've just had a new gloss white kitchen fitted and not only does this toaster fit in perfectly, it also has all the practical features needed in a toaster.
