The first TV of Toshiba's 2011 range starts things off with more of a whimper than a bang

Good sharpness with reasonably static images ; Decent colours ; Capable of producing lots of brightness

Unimpressive black level response ; Inconsistent backlight ; Soft standard definition pictures

To be honest, the 22DL833 doesn’t manage to deliver the performance thrills we’d hoped for given its edge LED lighting - aside from an unusual amount of brightness. But then it does cost less than £250, so with that and its multimedia tools in mind...

AWFUL

 

Do not buy this TV. It was slow to work from the ouset and now after 13months of hardly being used it has completely died! I thought Toshiba were a good make.......WRONG! Really disappointed!

I bought this TV the other day on amazon lightening deals. They reduced it from 189 to 129 with free delivery. Its a little big for the kitchen but how could I not buy it! bargin. Very happy with my purchase.

Very good buy

 

This superb telly is just what I was looking for. It has freeview, built-in dvd (which plays divX), usb port (which plays divX, mp4 etc.)and mounts on a bracket with no problems. Although picture quality is not perfect altogether it's a great TV.
