Toshiba finally brings some of its ‘CEVO' processing power to the UK in the 55WL863, with mostly excellent results.

Outstanding build quality ; Mostly excellent pictures ; Good Value

Currently undernourished online features ; Crosstalk with 3D ; minor backlight consistency flaws

Toshiba’s bid to add a high-end, enthusiast-friendly TV to its 2011 range has proved a mostly thundering success. The 55WL863 really is a superb TV, delivering some of the best picture quality yet seen from any LCD TV, as well as a good feature count....

Very impressive, aided by Cell PS3 processor

 

Its a little sad to see people reviewing a television without hands on experience of the unit itself, rather than just reading its 'edge lit' and therefore less than acceptable.

Better than Samsung D8000 55 inch !!

 

Originally purchased the 55 inch Samsung D8000 for £2K and it proved a fabulous picture, but only with a perfect HD signal. Feed it with standard definition & the picture quality really suffers. Also the Samsung had serious motion issues & also suffers...
