Panasonic Viera X20 (TX-P37X20B) review

The Panasonic Viera TX-P37X20B feels rather dated in some ways. That said, a couple of useful and rare strengths will make it the best budget, 37-inch option for some living rooms

Black-level response humbles that of similarly priced LCD rivals ; Aggressively priced ; HD pictures can look excellent ; Watchable from wide viewing angles

Suffers from some colour issues ; Not particularly bright ; No D-Sub PC input ; Only has an HD Ready resolution

Conclusion The Panasonic Viera TX-P37X20B won't suit everyone. But it's still a good HD performer, and the advantages of its now unique 37-inch plasma screen should be enough to persuade many people to part with their cash

Panasonic Viera TX-P37X20B 37in Plasma TV

The TX-P37X20B is a tempting option for a reasonably serious, HD-loving, but cash-strapped AV fan.

The P37X20B is a tempting option for a reasonably serious, HD-loving, but cash-strapped AV fan. It delivers some clear and desirable advantages over similarly priced LCD screens and achieves an incremental improvement over last year's X10 series.

Panasonic TXP42X20

Not overwhelmingly inspiring, but just about the best performance you can get for the price ..

Value, black level ability, colour

SD pictures a little disappointing

We hoped for a little bit more from the TX-P42X20. This should not detract from the fact that this is a very good screen and an excellent one for the price. To a greater or lesser degree it is an improvement on the outgoing X10 in every respect; it is...

Good while it lasted

Initially this has been a good performing TV. Unfotunately after only 17 months it now wont turn on and flashes the power LED indicating a fault. Very dissapointed, I will update with how Amazon get on with sorting this out.

This is a great TV

Its been a few weeks since I purchased this item, I am as delighted with it now, as I was on the first day I received it! The set-up was so easy, a 5 year old child could perform its operation. The picture quality is superb and I will definitely NOT be...

Exceptional TV

I replaced a Sony Trinitron CRT TV with this after many years of reviewing LCD TV's and realising they were a very poor "upgrade" from the Sony CRT. In particular the ghosting of movement and poor colour rendering of LCD meant that a Plasma TV was the...
