AWFUL on all but Blu rays.

 

AWFUL on all but Blu rays. I went with Toshiba because I had such great experience with their tube TVs. This is an unmitigated disaster on every front. Horrible broadcast and AppleTV results; terrible strobing and choppiness on even mildly fast motion....

Cheaper than other 55 inch screens

Horrible picture quality on anything but Blu Rays. Steaming video at 720 or 1080 somehow looks like garbage. Disastrous out-of-the-box settings; worst tv I have owned in 40 years

Great TV for the price point. No frills

 

All in all...i love this tv. I got it for a little above 1000. This TV does not offer the BEST picture every created...but for 55 inches at 1000 bucks...I cannot expect the best. Picture is still solid. Motion is still great most of the time. Blacks...

Price for 55 inch is unbeatable ; Simple styling (not to flamboyant) ; GOOD picture quality (i've seen better) ; Energy efficient...power bill went down 10 bucks ; Good blacks...high whites ; Dynalight is cool feature

Probably the only thing i absolutely HATE about this tv is...the sound. Its only 7 watts. Anyone who buys this tv will need a soundbar ATLEAST ; The 120hz looks like it bogs down a little in very high speed scenes

Toshiba 46sl412u is over priced for quality

 

I'm thinking of returning the tv and pay the restoring fee. First I'm going to check if there's a firmware update. I wouldn't buy this.

Terrible when compared to previous Sony!!

 

Would not recommend this tv unless you dont mind purchasing some type of external speakers or system, and in that case better to just buy a more expensive tv. Seems like many of the LEDs have this problem so either stay away from them unless your going...

This tv surprise me for its price, the image it's so crips and clear am amaze when am watching my blue ray movies, and not only that this 40" tv it's great for gaming, it's smooth and I love the feature it has for the control delay for your gaming experie

Perfect picture but poor sound.

 

Great picture if using coaxial cable or HDMI. VGA port sucks because it does not support above 1360x768. Poor sound and no analog audio out.

Picture is excellent and it is simple to use. The USB port reads thumb drives with JPGs and MP3s of any quality

TV speakers are very high pitched and not loud. VGA port only supports 1360x768. No analog audio out only optical audio out. Need to buy a DVI to HDMI and a optical audio cable
