APEX 32" Class 720p 60Hz DLED HDTV with Slim Bezel - Black (LE3243)

I purchased this as a gift for my son. The tv was possessed. Menus kept popping up and would not go away. I couldn't even turn off the tv. I called KCPI who handles their warranty and here is the email I sent to them - it explains my horrible experience::::: I returned this TV to the retailer I purchased it from so I will not be needing this shipping label. The retailer I purchased this TV from did not want to lose my business so they accepted the return, even though it was out of their 30-day return policy. They could not believe what I have been through over the past two months over this defective piece of equipment. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I work for a large company where customer service is utterly important and key in building and maintaining customer relationships. I was not only given the run-around, but I was lied to and treated with disrespect. The "tech support" is far from tech support. It is merely a third party that has been outsourced to another country. I had to wait for a service tech to call me so I could schedule a service call. That never happened. I then had to contact your company on several occasions to check the status of this phone call from a service tech and was told my issue was "escalated." Really? Escalated to another department of your company, which I believe is your department. Another run-around. I then find out that, after waiting two months, there is no service tech in my area. I had to call to find this out, I was not contacted by you or your company. Better yet, I find out that I have to PAY to package my TV so I can send it out to your company for repair. Because of this HORRIBLE experience, I will NEVER purchase another Apex product. I will ensure my family and friends are aware of this horrible customer service and technical support. I will also ensure that the online reviews for this product include a recap of my experience.

I've only been using this TV for the past 2 weeks but so far so good. The picture is clear and bright using a HD cable box wired in using one of the 3 HDMI inputs. I also did try the built-in Digital tuner and an antenna and found it did a good job...

Don't buy Apex TV's. Bought one six months ago and the screen went dark... it started to smoke! Their customer service is absolutely horrible! We've been waiting for a return shipping label to no avail. They don't honor their warranty! The price is low...

I have contacted, Apex several times about the remote for this television. The remote doesn't work unless you stand in front of the television. I was sent a second remote and it does not work either. There is no code listed for our universal remote....

My son and I love the TV. The sound isn't the best if you have it on blast, or if you're using the surround sound feature, but other than that, I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Great tv, the remote battery cover will not stay on. That is the only thing I dont like about it. But it has good picture and for the money is a great buy.

Another runaround

The t.v. itself works great. The included remote quite simply, is a piece of junk. The biggest drawback to this t.v. is that there is no compatible universal remote.
