I purchased this as a gift for my son. The tv was possessed. Menus kept popping up and would not go away. I couldn't even turn off the tv. I called KCPI who handles their warranty and here is the email I sent to them - it explains my horrible experience:::::
I returned this TV to the retailer I purchased it from so I will not be needing this shipping label. The retailer I purchased this TV from did not want to lose my business so they accepted the return, even though it was out of their 30-day return policy. They could not believe what I have been through over the past two months over this defective piece of equipment.
This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I work for a large company where customer service is utterly important and key in building and maintaining customer relationships. I was not only given the run-around, but I was lied to and treated with disrespect. The "tech support" is far from tech support. It is merely a third party that has been outsourced to another country. I had to wait for a service tech to call me so I could schedule a service call. That never happened. I then had to contact your company on several occasions to check the status of this phone call from a service tech and was told my issue was "escalated." Really? Escalated to another department of your company, which I believe is your department. Another run-around. I then find out that, after waiting two months, there is no service tech in my area. I had to call to find this out, I was not contacted by you or your company. Better yet, I find out that I have to PAY to package my TV so I can send it out to your company for repair. Because of this HORRIBLE experience, I will NEVER purchase another Apex product. I will ensure my family and friends are aware of this horrible customer service and technical support. I will also ensure that the online reviews for this product include a recap of my experience.
