Coby TFTV4028

At CES this year, Coby had an enormous sign and a nice booth right in the center of the show floor, so we thought to ourselves, maybe this company is stepping it up this year. Maybe we should give them a shot, and see how they compare against the...

It’s big and cheap

One of the worst viewing angles on the market ; Poor gamma detail ; The black level is not very deep

The TFTV4028 ($600 MSRP but found much cheaper several places online) is a 1080p LCD display from Coby with limited features. We thought to give Coby a shot after their huge display at CES this year.

Coby TFTV4028

The Coby TFTV4028 is a good economical alternative LCD TV for watching action movies, sports and video games because of the respectable refresh rate and response time. It is a less ideal option for buyers who are looking for high contrast and color...

This LCD TV has two USB ports

Despite the smaller screen, this television is one of the thickest we reviewed

This LCD TV suffers from a dismal contrast ratio, high wattage consumption and small screen.

Can't beat the price; great second set for the bedroom

If you want to impress your friends, buy an expensive brand (but your friends don't visit your bedroom very often, right?). But in these day, about 95% consumer electronics are made in you know where anyways -- God created the earth and everything is...

I paid $349 at Fry's and that's the same price of a 32" LCD on sale on the same day. but since the Coby 4028 is 40" with full 1080 HD, I jumped on it. Think it's hard for other brands to top that. It has enough ports in the back to input other device

The audio is not that great but at least it has surround sound. But since I'm using it in my bedroom, I can live with that. I can always use the monster system in my living room when I watch something like the movie "Midway." Another thing is there is

Dead spot on arrival.

RMA seems cumbersome for Coby. TVs over 33" are treated at home, maybe I'll give a better review if the customer service is good.

Good price

Sound quality is very low. SD video quality is ok at best. Big dead spot on my screen right out of the box, very noticeable. There's a dead pixel inside of a bunch of what seem to be stuck pixels

Kind of cheep but that is what i paid for.

Easy To Setup

Poor Image Quality
