Picture quality, Good connectivity, Lengthy feature count, Bold concept
Problems with 2.35:1, Minor niggles with fast-moving objects, Bold concept
Measure for measure it is no better than its rivals, especially given the high price, but full marks to Philips for providing an increasingly uniform market with a fresh alternative

The smallest Full HD TV in this group test, don't think that Toshiba's 40XF355D is the runt of the litter: it's a work of art in more ways than one. The £1,700 40XF355D boasts the world's slimmest bezel, which makes this 40in LCD TV look like an art ...
Looks great, Good connections, All-round picture quality, Above-average sound
Price on the high side

What's in a letter? The lower case letter at the end of this CI-friendly 50in plasma screen may look insignificant, but it packs one hell of a punch. It signifies that this Fujitsu TV has been tweaked for greatness - a quality that the P50XHA58EBb has ...
Highly impressive pictures across the board
Quite light on features, Slightly reflective screen
A startling improvement on what was already an impressive screen

LG's largest Full HD LCD TV to date, the 47in 47LY95, is as big on design flourishes as it is on pixel count, but there are some picture issues that are impossible to ignore, even at £1,700.
Attractive design, Good standard def pictures
Poor black levels
Hi-def colours impress, but black levels have this Full HD TV floundering
