Sony KDL-46NX713 review

A stylish 46-inch LED set with killer HD pictures – just give 3D a miss

Super-sharp HD pictures with artefact-free motion ; Bravia Internet Video content ; Built-in Wi-Fi ; Stunning external design

3D picture quality ; Expensive optional glasses and transmitter ; Networking format support could be better ; Remote a bit fiddly ; Minor backlight issues

The 'N' in Sony's NX series of LED TVs stands for Network. This means you'll be able to stream media wirelessly from PCs around your home and access a wide range of web content, all from the comfort of your sofa.

Sony KDL-46NX713 review

There's a lot to like about this Sony 3D LCD, but despite its strengths, there are still some shortcomings

Usual Sony standards of build and finish ; ample spec ; some real picture-making strengths

Online content quality disappoints ; rough sound ; relatively heavy 3D glasses

As far as features and value go it’s hard to argue, but there are some performance shortcomings

Sony Bravia KDL-46NX713 Review

With the Sony Bravia KDL-46NX713's 3D performance flattering to deceive, and the below par audio output, the Sony Bravia KDL-46NX713's 2D performance is its saving grace as it's simply stunning and means that while it gets a four stars rating overall,...

Quality, Design, Networking (Wi-Fi) Features, Internet connectivity, Superb colour and black performance, Freeview HD Tuner, Very Good Scaling and Video Processing

Glasses Lose Sync, Slow Menu system, Blurry Backgrounds with 3D Content, Outdated Calibration Controls, Poor sound

Sony KDL-46NX713

3d viewing

remote control slow to react, wireless works intermittingly, online content pretty average, others brands available with same spec for less and could do with a few app updates starting to look dated

Sony KDL-46NX713

Lots of features. Looks stunning. Amazing 2D picture. The sound bar really improves the sound. IPlayer comes in very handy and the built in WiFi helps too

3D has a fair bit of ghosting. Can get glare on the screen as its glass, but ok in my living room.as quite dark

Overall most aspects of Sony KDL46NX713 are very good, i.e. Ease of use, Image quality, Design and Value for money

The sound qualiy lets Sony down as it is of a 'tinny quality

Sony KDL-46NX713

Good TV for "hearing people" - Not ideal for Deaf people

Does not support SRT (subtitles)! - VERY VERY VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! - WILL NEVER BUY SONY PRODUCTS AGAIN! - Also, I thought this came with 3D but it's not! - You have to purchase it separately ; I've purchased DSLR-A55, PSP, PS3, KDL-32EX301, etc.....
