Sony Bravia KDL-55NX813 (KDL55NX813) review

Sony adds a slick, 3D ready TV to its chic NX line

Excellent 2D and 3D pictures ; Useful online content ; Great Xross interface

No 3D transmitter built in

Overall, the picture quality is very strong in 2D mode, which translates to a very plausible 3D output too. It's a shame the 3D transmitter isn't built into the set, but the reality is, you probably won't be watching much 3D content on it anyway.

Sony Bravia NX813 (KDL-55NX813) review

The 55-inch Sony Bravia KDL-55NX813 LED TV is designed to handle 3D and hi-def content well, and indeed it does so. But standard-definition TV isn't its forte and it's very expensive too.

Great high-definition pictures ; Sony's best 3D TV yet ; Stylish

Price is an outrage ; Freeview performance isn't great ; Heavy

While the Sony Bravia KDL-55NX813 produces good 3D and HD images, and decent standard-definition pictures, we have to question its value for money. We think Samsung's 55-inch UE55D8000 is a far better buy, offering better styling and more likeable...

Good picture, good web widgets

Poor 3D toggle switch, which is a bit fiddly jumping in and out of menus ; Sound is poor
