LG 55LM660T review

As soon as you clap eyes on the 55LM660T you'll be impressed. By any stretch of the imagination, it's one heck of a looker. Not least because its bezel is, well, hardly there. In fact, when the TV's off, the way the black colour of what small amount of...

Brilliantly watchable 2D and 3D picture quality; good controls/onscreen interface; nice design

Judder and resolution loss with fast motion; average audio

LG 55LM660T review

LG's latest passive 3D TV is its best yet

Brilliantly watchable 3D ; Good 2D HD pictures ; Gorgeous design ; Strong Smart TV system

Minor backlight consistency flaws ; Troublingly high input lag ; 3D line structure ; Lack of shadow detail

After throwing the TV world in to chaos last year with its launch of passive 3D technology, 2012 is potentially a critical year for LG.

LG Smart TV

How does LG's Smart TV system compare to its rivals?

It’s worth adding that LG’s new TVs do also support gesture control using your hands, like Samsung’s top-end TVs. This is standard on LG TVs with built-in cameras, otherwise it only becomes possible if you add an optional USB camera. However, the...

LG 55LM660T review

Boasting a good line-up of smart apps, 3D support, LED edge dimming and a stunning design, the 55LM660T ticks all the boxes of what you should be looking for in a high-end LED set.

Bright and vivid pictures; Convincingly natural colours; Deep black levels; Good sound quality for such a slim screen; Top-notch online features.

Struggles with shadow detail on some very dark scenes; standard-definition images could be better.

Despite a few minor flaws, the LG 55LM660T is a very impressive TV. Its no-bezel design looks gorgeous, 2D and 3D images are cracking and there's a wealth of features and smart TV apps. If you're in the market for a 55-inch LED TV, then this should be...

LG 55LM660T

sleek in appearance with minimal frame. excellent clarity in picture, including 3D, and sound better than expected.

3D has limited vertical range (too low or too high and distortion occurs). connections all at back of set so that if fixed to wall, the whole screen must be taken down simply to plug in a connection.
