LG 42LM660T review

 

The model reviewed here is a 42-incher, but if you need more glass there are 47in and 55in versions also available (the £1050 47LM660T and £1430 55LM650T respectively).

For most buyers, the 42in LM660T ticks all the right boxes. It looks pretty, has an enviable specification with excellent IPTV and file streaming facilities and dazzles with brightly hued, contrasty images. Sure it's not great with fast motion, but...

Gets plenty right, but faces tough competition

3D is good to watch; clear and detailed images; easy to use remotes; friendly interface

Contrast could be stronger, with deeper blacks; wishy washy colours

This LG is a likable set. Rivals such as Sony and Samsung have the edge in outright picture performance, but if you watch lots of 3D the LG is your best bet.
