LG 50PM9700

With 3D, integrated Wi-Fi, and more, LG's line of PM9700 plasma HDTVs aren't short on features. But disappointing picture quality makes them tough to recommend over similar-price models, including LED-based screens.

Good 3D performance. Built-in Wi-Fi.

Significant picture issues. 3D glasses are not included.

The LG 50PM9700 is a full-featured plasma set, but significant picture issues hold it back from being a great HDTV—plasma or otherwise. Its seemingly always-on motion blur reduction is off-putting, the screen doesn't get particularly dark without...

LG 50PM9700

I called LG and the only "fix" is to replace the panel....for about $150 less than what the entire unit costs. I will never buy another LG ANYTHING. EVER.

Less than 3 years old and it already has a dead pixel.

Poor Quality...

I went through all of the manuals, picture wizard, setups for both TV settings and cable DVR settings, and still get ugly picture quality on my basic cable. I'm using the HDMI cable connection with the correct input selection. I was full of...

-Massive Size! -Lots of Extras -Intuitive & Attractive Menus

-Picture quality is very poor on basic cable channels. -Picture only looks good on HD channels. My old CRT from the 90's has better picture quality with my basic cable channels. -Picture Wizard is Misleading; Channels don't appear as high quality as...
