LG LS4600 series review

When LED TVs arrived in a blitzkrieg of publicity several years ago, many consumers believed, mistakenly and with a lot of help from the advertisers, that this technology was automatically better than LCD. While LED lighting has some benefits, it's not...

The LG LS4600 is an attractive-looking midrange TV with a slim bezel and a rotating stand. Its picture delivers good shadow detail and colors are relatively accurate. The menu system is easy to navigate.

The TV has some of the worst black levels and uniformity I've seen this year. Colors are desaturated and skin tones in particular can look a little pale. For a midrange TV there are no features to speak of -- even the network port is inactive.

The LG LS4600 LED TV has looks on its side, but it doesn't perform to the level expected at this price.

"Great for price"

I use this as an HDTV and a monitor, when looking for a new monitor it was ridiculous at the price points they're running. LG has pixel mapping, and in their spec sheet actually say so. It looks absolutely just as good on my PC as it does playing a...

Pixel Mapping 1:1 tons of tv's do it but LG actually puts it in their spec sheet

Blacks aren't best out for the models that came out this year, however with the price I have no real complaints

"Unbelievably Fantastic TV - Big YES!"

If you get this one I'm telling you, you will NOT be sorry. It's the real deal. on Jul 29, 2012

Unpacked it, plugged it in, and viola, it's up and running and the Olympics are looking good! No initial adjustment was necessary, maybe down the road, but I was really happy with the setup!

None at this time and I hope it stays this way.

"Reason LG is Winning"

While Panasonic, Sony and Samsung all battle each other for who's TV is best, LG saving the money and passing it on to the user, specifically me. This TV is loaded with everything you would expect in a 2012 TV minus the fads or undeveloped programs....
