The panel supports a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160 or 2160p. The only way you can actually play video at the native resolution is if you connect a PC to it with an HDMI 1.4 port – so any of the newer discrete graphics cards will easily handle this...

you wont believe it

we put this in the Great room which is 40x60..can be just for the movie room, or does great for every day use...just so heavy, pic quality is better than you would think for this size of a tv...

Excellent detail levels with 4K video ; Good quality upscaling of 1080p Blu-ray movies

LG's Ultra Definition television is a novel piece of technology, showing off an extremely high resolution panel that at the moment is hamstrung by a lack of content.

This UHD TV performs generally well and is feature-packed, but it is way ahead of its curve with limited 4K content to play.

Superb 4K clarity; bright and immersive 3D; excellent video-upscaling performance; powerful sound; competent smart TV system

Poor TV broadcasts bordering unwatchable; narrow vertical viewing angles; inherent artifacts of passive 3D TVs; limited 4K content to play; pricey

It is difficult to recommend the LG 84LM9600 wholeheartedly since native 4K content is hardly available. As a PC monitor, text and icons at 4K resolution are hardly legible, while the games we tested did not offer an expanded field of view. It also...
