Let's face it, HDTVs that sell for over $2,000 are primarily made to display HD video in homes that have the capability to control light (even if it's not a dedicated TV room) and have a home theatre audio setup. Why spend that much on a TV if you...

AESTHETICS 10/10: If the LG 55LX9500 television were to be rated on its aesthetics alone, it would surely receive a 10 out of 10. It is nearly frameless and wafer thin. An absolute gorgeous centerpiece for any room in your house.
Excellent Video
Lacking too many necessities and obvious features

This sleek LED-backlit 3D TV delivers deep blacks in 2D mode, but we felt its 3D depth could be further improved for 3D Blu-ray playback.

Long known for stylish HDTVs, LG once again sets the bar for aesthetics with its Infinia 47LX9500. This stunning HDTV is arguably the company's most beautiful design effort to date, and it features the latest technology, including an integrated 3D...
Beautifully designed. Good 3D and sharp HD image quality. Deep blacks. Energy efficient
Very expensive. Some backlight blooming. Uncomfortable, expensive 3D glasses
With its slender profile, ultra-thin bezel, and edge-to-edge glass, LG's 47-inch LED backlit HDTV is a thing of beauty. And with solid 2D and 3D image quality and deep blacks, the picture isn't bad either. But at $4,000+ before accessories, this 3D TV...
And, while it does deliver a sharp, vibrant picture, the set's backlighting produces some blooming. Also, priced at $4,299.99 (list), this 47-inch set is extremely expensive, and that's before you shell out $179.99 (list) for each pair of active...

We were mighty impressed by LG's 47LE8500 HDTV in a recent review. That set had effective local-dimming LED technology and went farther than any set we'd seen in mitigating LCD's remaining Achilles heel-the 47LE8500 had the strongest off-axis...
In addition to the main (backlit) IR remote, there's also a thin, narrow RF Motion Remote Control. While this RF device has a limited number of hard buttons, its air-mouse functionality more than makes up for it. When you wave it around, an onscreen...
The new LG LX9500 series is a twin of the 8500 series in many ways, with largely similar features and comparable 2D performance. But the addition of 3D puts these new sets-the 47-inch model reviewed here and the larger, 55-inch 55LX9500-into an...

If you have a little extra money and want an ultra-thin TV for your home theater you can't go wrong with this LED TV.
The 2D image quality, loads of features and ultra-thin look make this TV one worth looking into
The subpar performance in bright rooms, unreliable 3D technology and high price tag hurt this TV
The LG INFINIA 55LX9500 LED TV produces some of the clearest and most stable images when the settings are right and when you are in a well-lit room. And if you're planning to use this TV in a home theater room it will get the job done with flying...
If you are willing to pay a little extra for a 3D TV that we hope will improve with some updates and one that produces an amazing picture, this is the LED TV for you.

The TV has good 3D effects and excellent 2D presentation, but it is a little pricey.
The LG 55LX9500 is incredibly thin and has superb picture quality
The TV does not come with a pair of active shutter glasses and is quite expensive
The technology available today for viewing 3D TV is very impressive and you can bet that it will only get better. However, there is not very much content available to watch, but that is coming and will only get better as directors and producers get a...
Even if you don't use the LG 55LX9500 to view 3D content, rest assured that it is one of the best HDTVs available on the market today.

LG 47LX9500 47-inch 1080p 480Hz 3D Ready LED-Backlit HDTV
The LG 47LX9500 is a very capable 3D TV with a great feature set. In particular, we liked the aesthetics of this television, coupled with its 240 zone, locally dimmable LED display, Wireless HD support and internet support. While the 480Hz rating is...
We believe that if the 47LX9500 has a competitive price in comparison to Toshiba and Samsung’s latest 3D TV offerings, then it will certainly be an attractive option for consumers. Stay tuned for a more comprehensive review of this 3D TV.
