Gorgeous, but room for improvement...

Having upgraded from a Westinghouse 32" LCD for my bedroom to the 42" LD450, I am very impressed by the picture quality and clarity of the LD450. Deep black levels, eye catching contrast. And while I wouldn't have upgraded had the HDMI on my Westinghouse mysteriously stopped working, I'd say the upgrade was well worth the money. The only thing LG's set really falls flat on is connection options: One component, two HDMI, one composite/s-video, where the Westinghouse had two component and two composite inputs. I'm an "equipment junkie", and own around 10 different gaming consoles and a few other devices that hook into my TV; to hook them all up to the LG requires external switches. Additionally, if you want any external sound, you've only got two options: Optical digital audio or the headphone jack, the latter of which switches off the TV's speakers without giving you an option otherwise; there is no option for stereo output on this TV. So make sure your stereo equipment is up to par before investing. Overall though, for general usage, the LD450 offers a solid picture, and at a reasonable price (I paid $649); for the average user, this set is sure to please.

Good resolution, Great picture, Attractive design, Bright image

Poor connection options

LG 32LD450

Inexpensive LCD with good color, but not the high-contrast performance other brands boast

Great color performance; Good viewing angle for an LCD

Poor black levels; Mediocre motion performance

The LG 32LD450 ($650 MSRP) is by no means a perfect TV. The black level and contrast ratio leave much to be desired. But once again, we see that LG’s strong suit is not contrast, but color performance. In that area, it’s hard to beat, especially at...

LG 32LD450 Review – 32-inches LCD HDTV

The LG 32LD450 is an upcoming model of LG's LD450 series. The model is a full HD 1080p HDTV with 32 inch widescreen display and many other features of a standard LCD television. It is the smallest models of the LD450 series.

As most of the specifications such as power consumption, number of inputs, contrast ratio, etc of the LD450 series are still unknown, it is difficult to get an idea about the performance of the model.

LG 47LD450 Review – 47-inch LCD TV

Even as the market for HDTV brands is getting saturated with different varieties of models, the product LG is bringing is definitely making its presence prominent. Amongst the new line up of products is the 47 inch model which may not be equipped with...

It is a reasonably good model, suitable for those who only wish to have a standard LCD slim television without any of the additional like wireless capabilities, internet options, or LED technology. So, make your mind properly about your requirement...

Overall Best Bang for the Buck

This set is a good buy for the money. 6 mos in the house, no problems. Good picture especially for movies. Both DVD/Blu-Ray/Vudu images are great. Excellent for a medium sized viewing room. I would rate it overall an 8 out 10.

Price Picture Clarity Blu-Ray/DVD Definition

No PiP. Sound is Good but not great

Excellent picture for the price

Bottom line is this is a great screen for the price. I went into the store with the intentions of buying a Samsung 40" LN40C550. The Samsung has better specs on paper, higher contrast ratio and 120hz refresh rate, but the LG had a better picture. Not...

Great picture ; Great price ; Energy efficient ; Intuitive menu ; Light weight

Only 60hz refresh rate though that's not as important as most like to believe it is ; could use more than 2 HDMI inputs but not needed

You just can't beat 549.99. I was also looking at the 42 vizio 1080 120hz side by side and the lg looked better... just play with the picture set up so you can get the most out of the lg

It only cost me 549.99 at frys electronic. Looks great when playing bluray

The picture is not that clear on my directv set up
