LG 42LH90

By (cnet.com)

Excellent black-level performance and shadow detail ; accurate color thanks to extensive picture adjustments ; matte screen handles bright lighting well ; plenty of connectivity with four HDMI and one PC input

Relatively expensive ; poor off-angle performance ; some blooming does not separate antiblur and dejudder processing ; benefits of 240Hz difficult to discern ; no interactive features ; no S-Video inputs

Deep black levels and accurate color help propel the LED-backlit LG LH90 series into the front row of the LCD picture quality class.

By Mark Brezinski (televisioninfo.com)

The 47LH90 is a decent TV with some nice features. Not all of the TV's test results were great, but it did have a 240Hz mode and local dimming. Unfortunately, we didn't think either was particular impactful. The 47LH90 is currently available for ...

The 47LH90 didn't wow us, but it wasn't terrible either. Most of its scores were either average or on the high side of average. The main issue is it's not a particularly exciting TV. It has a large, thick bezel and its main features are all sort of ...

LG 55LH90

By David Elrich (digitaltrends.com)

If you've just downed a great porterhouse steak, why have ultra-expensive Kobe beef for dessert? Because you can. That's how we felt when LG's new 55-inch LH90 LED...

Beautiful 1080p picture ; deep black levels, fine color accuracy ; plenty of picture tweaks, ISFccc capable ; attractive styling

Expensive ; no SD slot ; no Ethernet connection ; remote should be better

picture is great, colors are good, lighting is good day or night

TV leans to the right. service tech feels the TV is made with too much weight on the right side. TV is connected properly - the unit leans due to it's own weight. LG doesn't seem to have an answer. they want to replace a bracket inside the unit

Manufacturer's Description

Unlike other LED HDTVs that use "edge" lighting, LG's LH90 uses a full array of LED backlights which employ local dimming techniques for more precise picture control, resulting in deeper blacks, a wider color gamut and smoother motion, for a more natural picture. A LED performance and a stylish, color-infused design set a new standard in home entertainment.
