Superb suite of interactive features including Netflix, Vudu, Yahoo Widgets, and YouTube; accurate color; extensive picture controls including a unique Picture Wizard; solid connectivity with four HDMI and one PC input; beautiful styling
Produces relatively light black levels; cannot properly process 1080p/24 content with consistency; exhibits some temporary image retention; no S-Video input
Despite image quality a notch or two below competing plasmas, the LG PS80 series will win over shoppers who prioritize built-in video streaming.
Highly accurate primary colors in THX mode ; solid video processing ; superb feature set with numerous picture controls ; fine connectivity with four HDMI and one PC input ; beautiful external design
Less accurate color decoding and grayscale in THX mode ; produces lighter blacks than the best plasmas
Although its THX mode isn't as accurate as we'd like to see, the massive LG 60PG60 60-inch plasma TV still delivers a good picture.

The LG 50PG60 is the second of two HDTVs we've reviewed with THX display certification, and it proves that even the three letters formerly associated with George Lucas can't guarantee picture quality parity. The first such THX-certified TV, Panasonic ...
Expensive ; less accurate color decoding and grayscale in THX mode ; produces lighter blacks than the best plasmas ; some false contouring
Under 2K for 60" tv that you can't beat
Simple functions, very good picture. I have it wall mounted and any guests that come over are amazed by it. Netflix is easy to use. The wife was able to figure out the remote right away
YouTube works but is difficult to browse. If they had some kind of wireless keyboard function, then this would be the most versital tv out there. Just thinking outside the box
If your looking for a well built plasma TV Lg...
Im, a teewker, I just love all the picture settings this set has. As for the black levels there great to me. For the price u pay for this set, u get the bank for the buck, compared to the prices of the top other plasma sets out there. THX is great
Really couldnt find any, but if u want to be picky I would of liked the remote control to be luminatied
I have the 50" Panasonic plasma from 3 years ...
Very good picture. So far (6 months) no issues with the TV. Colors are quite accurate.
I had to fiddle with the picture for a couple of hours to get it the way I like it. The presets just don't cut it. Blacks are just OK. Shades of grey are OK. Doesn't compare to my Panasonic in this department. Really susceptible to a poor signal.
Incorporating Single Layer technology, LG was able to completely eliminate the usual screen border, making the set appear to be an elegant, seamless sheet of glass. This window-like, screen-only TV is more than just looks, however. The PG60 boasts a contrast ratio of 30,000:1 - the industry's highest - which enables better black levels than ever before, and which are further enhanced by its dual XD engine. The TV also has Full HD capabilities and Fluid Motion technology that displays images...
