LG Infinia 50PX950

When we reviewed LG's former flagship plasma in July, the PK950 series , we called it the best the company had ever produced and a worthy contender to Panasonic and Samsung. Its new boss at the top of LG's totem pole, the PX950, is basically the same...

Produces relatively deep black levels; accurate color overall; correctly handles 1080p/24 sources; solid 3D performance; plenty of streaming and interactive features; extensive picture controls; sleek styling with single-plane design and 2-inch-deep...

Lighter black levels than some flagship plasma TVs; blue oversaturated slightly; ineffective 2D-to-3D conversion; fewer apps and services than many other interactive models have; exhibits some temporary image retention; inefficient power use; Magic...

With excellent performance showing either 2D or 3D material, the LG PX950 series stands among the best plasma TVs this year.

LG 60PX950 THX Certified 3D Plasma First Look

LG front-and-centered its new PX950, the "world's first THX Certified 3D plasma TV". It was given the red carpet treatment at the booth and to be honest it looked pretty good in terms of black levels and picture quality. LG is one of the only company's...

LG 50PX950 3D Network Plasma HDTVReview

LG's latest plasma display is the first to sport THX video certification for both 2D and 3D. And while it may not be perfect, it's easily the finest display we've yet seen from LG.

One thing I didn't like was the fact that software updates appear to be mandatory whenever a new system update is detected. Shortly after receiving my review unit I updated the system software to the latest version available (4.00.04). A few weeks...

Terrible Television Even Worse Corporation

I bought this LG 50PX950 for the Super Bowl this year, some 4 months ago. 6 weeks ago it became clear to me that the banner logo that marks the top of all of MSNBC shows was creating a kind of shadow image on my screen that remained, no matter what...

NOTHING LG

The television has panel issues with shadow images remaining on the screen, like the MSNBC banner that MSNBC runS during their shows. But the worst is that the company knows this television is defective and they won't admit it. DO NOT BUY THIS TELEVISION

"What can I say :("

Dark banding visible when opening tv screen menu's. When I e-mailed LG's costumer service and showed them a picture of the problem they said it was normal. After 3 days it became worse so I called the repair service and invited them in my house. They...

When it still worked the picture quality was great.

Dark banding around menu screens.

Great picture, Great look, Great features

It's a great TV that they made a few of at the end of 2010 and then decided to halt production and begin creating the 2011 TVs. Odd timing on the release of this TV, but for a while it was a steal (got mine for less than $1700). Picture quality is...

TV looks great on the wall ; 2D is amazing ; 3D is very good ; Price was right (formerly under $1800, now higher due to low quantities)

Unavailable at most retailers ; No Pandora Currently (although LG says they may upgrade) ; No 5.1 output from internet content to audio system

Great TV at an awesome price!!!

I bought this Television 3 Days ago from Conns. I was actually going to buy the PK950. I'm not on the 3D bandwagon, and thought I could get a good price for the 2D only model. To my surprise, Conns had the PX950 for $899. The television has a wide...

Price ; THX certified 3D ; Great Design
