Picked a broken one up from the dump

I picked one up (knowing it was broken) at the local dump for $20 and me being very teck savvy i figured i would fix it and put it in my room. first thing i did was turn it on, i got pure blackness. I did a couple of hours research and got the...

Great picture, except that it cant do verry dark blacks. great audio from internal speakers.

Not the best contrast ratio in the world. energy hungry. doesn't send edid values through vga (i think this is the biggest con of all)

OK

Happy when i first bought it (2005) then annoyed when horizontal lines appeared, thought TV was cactus, tried everything to fix problem, changed cables, moved TV, changed antenna etc etc, finally got new HD Tuner and problem was solved! most happy with...

It still operates as I would expect, picture is nice and clear.

It heats up a lot, I live in a hot climate and the last thing I need is a Hot TV heating my lounge up even more! when I had a SD tuner attached I had some strange horizontal lines appear, constantly scrolling up the screen, most annoying, I thought it...

Good

Had this TV since April 2005, has been fault free except for the horizontal lines scrolling up the TV, I thought that all the bad reviews I had read about this TV were true, I was already planning on my next wide screen purchase, then I pugged a HD...

Terrible

avoid it unless you are happy to have it work properly for only 1 year. extended warranty is advisable ,but even after having my tv repaired, the picture quality has not returned to its original quality.

cheap, but not worth the headache

bought 2 of these, both had no picture after 13 months (lucky we bought extended warranty). got one of two repaired by SSS Electronics (Alexandria); picture back but has an annoying intermittent shadowing effect. haven't booked for a second repair yet....

Terrible

LG service = Crap LG ELITE repairers = Crap LG Plasma = Crap, Remote died after 15 months. Plasma died after 26 months. Picture has problems with channel 70 but i dare not take it anywhere to get ripped off again.

Was at the cheaper end of the scale when purchased 26 months ago

1.Remote died. 2. Power died. Out of warrenty. LG recommend Inpulse Electronics as their ELITE repairer. They replaced the Y driver board and Y lwr board at a cost of nearly $750. (resale value is around $1000). Inpulse lied and did not replace the...

Good

Very happy with it, especially with the price paid, i see that now even 6 months later the prices are still not down as much as i paid for it.

It was really cheap, half the price of most. It has a nice clear picture. Easy setup. have had for 6 months and no problems at all. No sync problems ever, connect through a yamaha amp.

Auto picture resizing bugs me sometimes but easy to avoid, no real problems to speak of so far.

Good

I'm extremely happy with this TV. It offers a huge wide screen and great sound. I never feel the need to use the stereo. The price of $2,900 including delivery (May 2005, Hi-Fi Supermarket, Marybyrnong) was very good. I don't see that plasmas that are...

Good skin tones, great sound from the built in speakers, good price, large screen. The automatic screen resize to fit the ratio of the broadcast picture is excellent. It also keeps the last screensize setting for each of the input selections so you...

It only has an analogue tuner, so you need a digital set top box to get the most out of it.
