Lots of configuration options ; Fantastic colors and detail ; Respectable scaling and deinterlacing results ; Removable/repositionable speakers can fit anyone’s style/preference

Not all those configuration options seem to actually do anything ; Menu not as intuitive as it could be

Works - Some of the time

Well, at least I didn't spend much. It does have a lot of connection options. However, only some of them will deliver a stable signal

Stated to turn off (possible over heat) with in two months. Just out-side of the warranty period. Will work great for about an hour and a half and then it just turns off. When I turn it back on the speakers make a high pitched sound and the screen...

I like it.

Shipping took a week, and then I called, found out it was sitting in a distribution center 3 hours away, instead of waiting through the weekend I opted to take the drive and pick it up. Must call the shipper to get actual tracking information. Unit is...

42", HDMI, Can remove the speakers for a cleaner look. Plenty of adjustment options. Shipping was expensive but the box didn't even have a scratch on it. Standard Def DVD's through an s-vid cable look good. Wii looks good on this, good upscaling of Wii...

Using the D sub connection I get some waves on the screen on certain resolutions until the TV has been on for about ten minutes. Again only happens on some resolutions and not the standard ones. D-Sub and HDMI connections are at the top of the...

Great stuff

One heck of a good TV/display unit. Due to its high resolution some regular broadcast pictures experience some minor, spotty blurring, but HD coming in over componet input is excellent. I've got my pc connected to it via HDMI cable and it has AWED some...

Multiple inputs for easy connection to all your AV products (1xHDMI 2xComponent 2xComposite 1xVGA 1xStandard cable, 1xOptical; and some others). Exceptional stereo sound for a theater like experience without having to purchase a seperate sound system....

Clumsy setup menu. Approx. 10 sec startup period. Firmware upgrade a hassle. Bothersome source selection. Extremely bright 'standby' led when turned off. 100LBS spread out over the size of this thing make it one pretty awkward moving by yourself

Olevia 542i

More vibrant than plasma and the cost is vey low. 4 days and you will be in heaven. Matix mount is also great for this panel.

Plebty of inputs for customer satisfaction. Excellent sound disbursement, beautiful vibrant picture. Go ahead and buy with confidence....for the size of this screen and the price...the best deal I have seen

Weighs 96 lbs. but it has the punch to back it up

olevia 542i lcd

For the price you cant beat it, I olny wish Oleiva made A bigger set in this line, maybee A 47"...547i?? They have A 747 model but that is too much moolaa for me!! Buy it u will NOT regret it!! Took 4 days to delivery, and it arrived in perfect order!...

You can NOT go wrong with this purchase!! I have A Sony KDL-40XBR2 40" LCD that i paid 2200 for and the only diffrence is the Sony has A much better Black level and Looks Sexy, outher than that its hard to tell the diffrence and the Olevia sounds better

It is heavy but that is not A problem for me,and it took alittle craftsmanship to remount the speakers to the side of the set(but this was also fun)

Short and Sweet

First of all, this display came within two minutes of being packed back up in its shipping box, being returned and receiving the worst review I've ever a product let alone not really knowing how to go about shipping it back. My son even brought the...

Great Picture! Great Price and Great Features

Non existent owners manual except for the included CD Rom downloadable PDF file

Is this some kind of ruse? This 542i looks completely brand new. Not a scratch on the cabinet and the screen is pristine. The rotating oxagon on screen interface is a little weird to get used to at first. I'm so happy with this Newegg Olevia purchase...

Like the others who bought this set I was worried about buying a Recert ; I was happily surprised after Getting it up into my apt. This LCD is a monster, and not just in screen size. It weighs 100#+! but it is because this thing is really built well!...

The box! When the AIT guy wheeled all the way up to my apt. I noticed the box looked and felt flimsy. This set would be destroyed if it was shipped on its side! But Olevia, Newegg, and AIT obviously know to ONLY ship it Upright ; No Owners Manual, so...

Second One

This is the second 542i I have bought. Obviously, I think it is a good performer with a great price ($979.00, no shipping charge). I do wish my cable remote worked with it, and it's a bit creaky in its interactions with my cable box at times, but...

Olivia 542! (42") HDLCD TV

While I did have some problems getting the order confirmed which delayed the shipping for a couple of weeks. It seemed no one was willing to put forth any effort to close the sale and confirm the order was authentic and not a fraud. As I was shipping...
