Since it's darker than conventional picture tubes, the PanaBlack tube in this 27" model helps combat the picture degrading effects of ambient light. The VCR Plus feature makes it simple to program your VCR. Every program has a PlusCode number that can be found in most newspaper and magazine TV listings. All you have to do is enter this number and your timer is automatically set. By simply pressing the "search" button twice, you'll jump right to the end of the current recorded program, allowing easy access to the next one. To help reduce the number of remote controls you have lying around, the included illuminated universal remote also operates most TVs and cable/DSS boxes. Outputs for DTS & Dolby Digital Decoders provide six discrete channels of exhilarating digital audio that deliver the ultimate sound experience. Advanced Virtual Surround Sound creates the surround sound effect by simulating surround-channel sounds using only two front speakers. 2-line digital comb filter produces a superb picture quality. Multiple DVD Viewing Options lets you switch between multiple camera angles and up to eight different languages or with subtitles up to 32 languages. FM Radio with Auto Scan features a nine preset-station memory and an on-screen display for station confirmation.
