Panasonic TC-65AX800U

 

Panasonic's high-end AX800 line of 4K HDTVs are well-styled and brimming with features. But there just isn't enough 4K content yet to justify the price.

Feature-rich. Excellent color reproduction. Includes both touchpad and conventional remote controls.

Expensive. Mediocre black levels and contrast ratio. Little native 4K content available. Doesn't currently support Netflix 4K content.

Power and Conclusion Under normal viewing conditions, the 65AX800 consumes a hefty 251 watts. With Eco Mode turned on, that number drops to 212 watts with no noticeable dimming of the picture. That's a lot of power for an LED HDTV to use, but it's an...
