Panasonic TC-P50U1 Plasma HDTV Review - Intro

The Panasonic TC-P50U1 is a pretty basic model, at least as basic as they come in the 50-inch plasma category (that's a lot of screen real estate, mind you). Skipping the fancy, and frequently pointless, special processing features, Panasonic has made...

The Panasonic TC-P50U1 is a good, but not outstanding, television. On the plus side, we loved the deep blacks and wide viewing angle that the Panasonic could produce. However, it failed to produce sufficiently bright whites and there were noticeable...

Panasonic TC-P50U1

If you're in the market for a full HD large screen HDTV, it's hard to beat the current street price of the TC-P50U1. You probably won't find a better price on a 50" unit, and it has most of the features you're likely to need. As long as Internet...

Panasonic TC-P42U1 Review – 42-inch Plasma HDTV

The problems of burn-in and product lifespan are slowly being sorted out by the HDTV manufacturers. This TV is a bright example which makes fresh forays into the world of Plasma TVs and lets the previous plaguing problems be bygones. However, a major...

The major issue of burn-in is handled by the inclusion of a pixel orbiter. This feature keeps shifting the image across the screen which can be done automatically or in a customized way. The lack of a picture-in-picture feature is compensated by an SD...

Panasonic Viera TC-P50U1

Fancy (and frequently pointless) special processing features aside, acceptable performance for a decent price.

This TV will not last!

It worked well for about a year. A good price

This TV lasted less than 2 years. I've seen many complaints online, and many stop working before the warranty period ends. Mine was out of warranty when it stopped working. Don't buy panasonic if you want something that will last longer than 1 year

Great TV for the Price

Bought this TV from BB with the 3 year protection plan, tax and everything for less than $1050 - amazing deal! Very much worth the price and have had zero trouble with the performance, other than the small issue above, which is maybe once amonth. This...

Very bright picture, great time response, GREAT contrast, colors are very vivid

Sometimes doesn't quite respond fast enough to the fastest action - turns "blocky" and pixelates every once in a while - this is the only reason this display didn't get the full 5 stars

Takes any LCD in its price range.

A great 1080p plasma with a good track record as is usual with Panasonic products at large. As is often the case with the bad egg of the batch, the unfortunate customer to have bought that TV HAS to give negative feed back with very little history as...

Deep rich blacks, stunning colors, and it deals with fast motion very nicely. Looks twice as good as this years replacement the U2 (no affiliation with the band)

No PC input, and no glare protection unlike its slightly better cousin the S1

Super set for $700.

This is a great tv for someone who is looking for a great picture and a great price but can live with not having the "best" set on the block. The screen glare is annoying but can be dealt with by darkening the room. The picture is beautiful and can be...

Easy out of the box set up. GREAT picture. Communicates easily with my Panasonic HTIB through Viera Link. Picture looks much better than similar priced LCD's I've seen

Quite a lot of screen glare in well lit rooms
