Panasonic's 65-inch TH-65PV500B plasma TV reviewed

With the World Cup set to start in less than two weeks, it's time to extract the catheter, re-prioritize, and go big. Trusted Reviews just posted a giddy review of Panasonic's 65-inch Viera TH-65PV500B plasma TV calling it "one of the very few truly...

Panasonic TH-37PV500 37 inch HD-Ready Viera Plasma TV with Freeview

Panasonic has just released its first truly HD Ready Viera LCD TV, the 32in TX-32LXD500. But 32in simply won't be big enough for everyone, so we've got our hands on Panasonic's first HD Ready plasma TV: the 37in TH-37PV500.

Good picture quality, Good design, HD Ready

Rare traces of mesh-like structure in backgrounds of HD images

Panasonic also claims to have increased the brightness of its eighth generation plasma panels by 10 per cent and the introduced a new sub-pixel control system to reduce the appearance of jaggedness around curved edges

Panasonic TH-65PV500B 65in plasma TV

If you have a living room the size of an aircraft hanger, Panasonic has just the TV for you.

As you’d expect of such an uncompromisingly large TV, the 65PV500B is fully HD Ready, with a native resolution of 1,366 x 768 and compatibility with the required 720p and 1080i formats. In an ideal world we’d have loved the 65PV500B to also take 1080p...

Everything's integrated in this streamlined set: from the single HDMI input to the digital TV tuner. You can even view video footage via the recordable SD card slot

Blessed with more curves than a J.Lo video, the Panasonic combines great looks with a hugely enjoyable picture

Panasonic Viera TH37PV500 review

If you want a stylish, large flat screen then this Panasonic embodies these traits perfectly. We should also emphasise just how good the picture quality is with both standard- and high-definition sources, and the selection of inputs caters for all...

Slinky styling ; Excellent picture quality ; Wealth of connectivity ; High-definition compatibility ; Common interface slot

Costly for its size ; Only one HDMI input ; Occasional motion smearing

Having said that, high-definition content is rare at the moment, so it's more relevant that the Viera is also an excellent standard-definition performer. The integrated Freeview tuner is a high quality one, and even during the Winter Olympics, where...

Panasonic TH-42PV500A HD plasma television

Panasonic has updated its Viera range of flat panel displays, with the new 42" TH-42PV500A plasma leading the charge.

Outlook At AU$5999, the TH-42PV500A represents good value for a high def plasma that features some impressive specs as well as good looks. The new range of Vieras should win more fans for Panasonic.

Panasonic TH-42PV500

Part of Panasonic's much-heralded Viera range, the 42PV500 looks sensational in its crisp, black, glossy suit - especially if you splurge a bit extra on Panasonic's matching floorstanding cabinet.

Cracking looks, stunning - and unusually source-flexible - picture quality, superb sonics

Slight grid-like artefacts occasionally visible over some backgrounds
