Panasonic TH-42PX70 review

Cheap doesn't necessarily mean missing out spec-wise with this delightful plasma

Excellent picture quality ; Good price

Not full HD ; No audio with 1080p/24fps sources

All of Panasonic’s customary plasma picture quality for remarkably little money? That’ll do nicely

Panasonic TH-50PX70 review

Panasonic's plasma winning streak goes on

Flawlessly impressive pictures ; Great audio

The bigger Panny's plasmas get, the more we are drawn to them. It's a true five star performance and that includes the price.

Excellent performance across all modes, Wide array of connection options, Great PC connection performance

Some minor noise issues in PC mode and minor over-sharpening at SD and HD resolutions

The Panasonic TH-50PX70A is an excellent all-round high-end Plasma panel that performs well across standard and high definition resolutions.

Panasonic TH-42PX70 review

Viera styling, Panasonic badge kudos, plenty of performance and all for less than a grand – the TH-42PX70 seems an incredible deal

Terrific value and a high-quality set – it’s not Full HD, but at this price, you won’t miss it

Most 37in flatscreens are LCDs ' but not Panasonic's. The 37PX70 is a plasma and a highly capable one at that

Excellent HD images. Quality build and finish

Occasionally overlooks fine detail. Average sound quality

Most 37in flatscreens are LCDs – but not Panasonic's. The 37PX70 is a plasma and a highly capable one at that

This superb plasma just goes to show it ain't how many pixels you've got, it's what you do with them that counts

Panasonic TH-50PX70 review

This Panasonic gives every impression of being a bargain flatscreen – but with so many other budget sets on the circuit is it worthy of that spot on your wall?

Everything about this set is big and clever. If you’re big and clever too, then you’ll want to get your wallet out

Panasonic Viera TH-37PX70 37in Plasma TV

Panasonic may have the largest plasma TV on the market, but its small ones are pretty damn good too.

Panasonic has created a great TV in the shape of the TH-37PX70. It may not have Full HD credentials, but the price / performance ratio is staggeringly good. If you’re looking to buy your first HDTV and don't want anything too big, this Viera will...

Panasonic VIERA TH-42PX70A

The Panasonic VIERA TH-42PX70A is a sturdy all-rounder with superb picture quality and decent styling, only let down by some slight picture noise.

Picture quality ; Style

Not true HD -- only 1024 x 764 resolution ; Sound lacks deep bass ; Only two HDMI inputs

Ultimately, strong HD performance and good overall colour mean this is a good choice if you like movies -- just make sure you attach it to a decent sound system.
