Panasonic TX-32LXD700 review

An LCD TV that's as green as it is majestic

Excellent eco credentials ; Impressive colour and detail ; Strong audio performance

Black levels good rather than great

One of the best 32in LCD TVs on the block and one of the most eco-friendly too

Pricey, given its screen size, but near perfect, too: this is one of the finest 32in televisions you can buy

Simply fantastic: for its screen size, this isn’t a cheap set, but it's well worth the money in every way

Panasonic Viera TX-32LXD700 32in LCD TV

Does this Panasonic's LCD give as good an account of itself as its plasmas do? You bet'cha!

AV purists that we unashamedly are, there's no doubt whatsoever that the 32LXD700 is a hugely impressive LCD TV thoroughly deserving of its 9 out of 10 overall score. But it would nonetheless be remiss of us if we didn't point out that if you're not...

Panasonic Viera TX-32LXD700A

The Panasonic TX-32LXD700 currently stands as Panasonic's flagship LCD TV — so we're happy to say it has the features and performance quality to do its position proud.

Pictures are terrifically crisp and colourful ; Good motion handling ; Huge feature count ; Good sound

Slightly uninspiring looker ; Black levels could be better

Conclusion Panasonic's flagship 32-inch LCD TV proves that while the brand might openly prefer plasma technology, it's certainly no mug with LCD. In fact, there are few 32-inch rivals out there to touch it, at AU$2,000. But we urge you to think...

Award-winning TV with exceptional picture quality, although it has now been replaced by Panasonic's 2008 range

Panasonic TX-32LXD700

It's certainly nice looking and beautifully built - though not massively more so than LG's 32LC46. But it's got a definite advantage when it comes to connections thanks to its provision of a third HDMI and an SD card slot for digital photo playback.

Plenty of features, really good pictures, powerful audio

Not cheap, black levels could be better

Panasonic TX32LXD700 Review - Viera 32" LCD TV Test

Although Panasonic are quick to state their opinion that Plasma is the only viable choice for large-screen HDTVs, the Japanese giant does, in fact, produce LCDs in the 32” and smaller sizes. The TX32LXD700 is Panasonic's most highly-specified LCD-based...

IPS Alpha panel reviewed is completely uniform – no clouding/”mura ; Built-in sound is powerful ; 3 HDMI inputs ; Accepts 1080p input ; Crystal clear EPG ; Heavy-duty remote

100hz processing cannot be switched off and creates motion artefacts – be sure you aren’t susceptible to these ; Almost no control over the screen's light output ; No per-input settings

The Panasonic TX32LXD700 is a television that's harmed by a lack of user controls, despite having a fantastic viewing angle, uniformly even LCD panel, and powerful sound.

With most other models in Panasonic's latest LCD range scooping best buy awards left, right and centre, we're chomping at the bit at the arrival of the brand's flagship model

Good looks and specification, Superb pictures

Improvable black levels

Spoiler warning! This is the greatest LCD TV that Panasonic has produced so far and demands your undivided attention
