Panasonic TX-L42D25B review

Panasonic is currently the king of plasma TV. So much so, that its LCD screens often get overlooked. Now, though, it's joined the LED market, with a range of TVs from 19-42in. This set, the TX-L42D25B, is the biggest in its arsenal. Is it good enough...

Excellent pictures, including SD; well-featured; excellent wide-angle viewing

Disappointing sound; local (not networked) MP3 playback

Panasonic TX-L32D25B review

Excellent LED-backlit TV with dual free HD tuners and an IPS panel

Wide-angle viewing IPS panel ; Very good motion resolution ; Freeview HD and Freesat HD tuner ; High-end design ; Overall picture performance

Creaking remote control ; Poor video file support ; IFC artefacts

Panasonic may be the world's most vociferous supporter of plasma, but it still does a nice line in LCD. Unlike its mainstream LCD rivals, the TX-L32D25 uses an IPS (In plane Switching) panel.

Panasonic TX-L42D25B review

LED back-lighting give Panasonic the edge, but there are plenty more features to its first LED model

Excellent pictures, including SD ; Well-featured ; Excellent wide-angle viewing

Disappointing sound ; Local (not networked) MP3 playback

Panasonic TX-L37D25 review

One of the best-equipped sets for free HD is a top-notch performer

Superb HD performance ; Decent black levels and contrast ; Impressive features

Average motion handling ; SD pictures aren't great

Excellent all-rounder, the overall quality of which more than outweighs its few minor foibles

Panasonic Viera TX-L42D25B

Panasonic makes its greater-than-37in LCD TV debut with this set, and with a fair degree of success too.

Panasonic TX-L37D25 review

This weighty Panasonic is a fine LED-backlit LCD, but it's not as flexible as we'd like and that, coupled with the price, means it loses out

Solid build ; crisp pictures ; largely good motion ; improving range of internet content

A bit dull with C.A.T.S. on, a bit too bright with it off ; relatively pricey

Stunning in some areas, but price and lack of backlight flexibility means the D25 narrowly misses out on five stars

Panasonic TX-L42D25 review

We think this Panasonic LCD is a more then decent 40 inch screen, but for the money there's better out there

Punchy, very detailed pictures ; decent sound ; Freesat and Freeview HD ; great build

Blacks aren’t as deep as some ; colour balance isn’t perfectly neutral

This is a fine LCD from the plasma king, but read further, and you will see that you can buy even better

Panasonic TX-L32D25 review

Can this 32-inch LCD beat away the competition? It seems likely...

If you're after a smaller LCD TV, this is a stunning 32-incher

Panasonic TX-L32D25 review

Best 32in TV in the 2010 Awards, the Panasonic TX-L32D25 is an absolute cracker

Solid build ; good functionality ; passable sound ; blistering standard- and high-def pics

Won’t output Dolby Digital 5.1 through its optical output

Still at the forefront of its size class, the D25 2010 Award winner is going to take some shifting. This is a stunning 32-incher

Panasonic TX-L37D25

Panasonic have created a stylish well performing LCD TV that is just of the pace of the best LCD TVs ..

Colour

Recording function available only on a limited range of hard drives

The TX-L37D25 is quite an accomplishment for Panasonic in that it represents a vast improvement over last year's equivalent.
