Panasonic TX-L37V20B review

LED TV with excellent HD credentials, but ultimately disappointing performance

Attractive styling ; Good sound for an LCD TV ; Natural colour reproduction ; Decent feature count

Black levels not great ; Some signs of motion blur ; Rather expensive

Panasonic's edge-lit TX-L37V20B is one of its thinnest and most attractive LCDs to date. A metallic bezel and 45mm-deep cabinet house a fine feature count that includes both Freeview and Freesat HD tuners, plentiful multimedia options including HD...

Panasonic Viera TX-L37V20B

The specs are good, but for a flagship LED LCD television, this 37-incher doesn't quite hit the mark.

Among Viera Cast’s highlights are YouTube, Skype (through an optional extra camera), the AceTrax movie purchase/rental streaming service, and EuroSport. But it continues to grate that there are currently no video catch up services - not even the BBC...

Panasonic TX-L37V20 review

All the bells and whistles you could want and a picture that's worthy of the price

Looks the part ; comprehensive spec ; good Freeview HD and Freesat HD tuners ; dynamic picture

Struggles with the fastest motion ; on the expensive side

All the bells and whistles, plus picture performance to just about back it up – but competition is fierce

Panasonic TX-L37V20

The picture is outstanding, the overall appearance is stylish and modern and has all the iputs I need inculding a pc socket and USB connection. The wireless feature connected to my home network in no time

The sound volume and quality is not as good as I had with my old Sony plasma

Panasonic TX-L37V20

Stunning images in HD, particularly from Blu-ray. The best images I have seen to date from an LCD/LED display in low res

Sound output could be higher but overall sound quality good. Vieracast access a bit basic. It would have been nice to see BBC iplayer etc included but I guess this is down to licensing

Excellent image - virtually as good as the best CRT set

Hard to find fault, but "Vieracast" is of limited use as most of the available services are in foreign languages
