Panasonic Viera TX-L47ET50B review

When is a 3DTV not a 3DTV? Panasonic's biggest-ever attempt at an Edge LED television here includes the pricier, sharper Active Shutter flavour of the technology, but the box is bereft of any glasses.

Crystal Frame design, immersive 3D effects, WiFi, Freeview HD, HD detail, FLAC file support

Lacks contrast, poor quality sources look exposed, narrow viewing angle

Good-looking and well equipped Edge LED set with excellent HD detail and 3D depth letdown by tight viewing angle and poor upscaling.

Panasonic TX-L47ET50B review

The 47-inch Panasonic TX-L47ET50B has good Internet features and delivers satisfying images with both standard and high-definition content. It's also a strong 3D performer. However, sound quality isn't great and black levels could be deeper, especially...

Warm colours ; Sharp standard-definition and HD images ; Strong 3D performance ; Good range of online service

Sound is worse than last year's models ; Expensive ; Black levels could be slightly deeper

The TX-L47ET50B is a pretty decent all rounder. It delivers sharp standard-definition and HD pictures with warm colours. There's also a good line-up of Internet TV services and 3D performance is strong. However, the TV is quite expensive, especially...

Amazing Quality!

I have been shopping around for a while for a 3D TV and read numerous reviews from different websites and reviewers. The one model that kept coming up in all the lists was this one. Granted it wasn't always top of the heap in some reviews, but was...

TV of the future

I HAD to buy a new TV as I was recording programmes in HD & trying to play them back through a set top box connected to an old analogue TV which although it gave me a picture that was 100% better it still wasn't HD & it overloaded the circuitry &...

Open the box, Setup and Watch

What more can I say. Connected everything, switched on and a perfect picture. I didn't have to change any of the default settings. With my previous Panasonic TV when I switched on the virgin box it would automatically change reception from the aerial,...
