Review: Panasonic TC-P55ST50

Panasonic's TC-P55ST50 makes a solid case for giving a plasma HDTV a shot at the living room, especially for viewers who like their black levels...

Splendid color and deep blacks. Enough built-in apps to make a Roku box jealous. Better-than-average speakers. Blissfully smart menu system

Horrendous soap-opera effect that’s hard to fully eliminate. So-so brightness paired with an overactive auto-brightness control. Not enough HDMI inputs. 3-D glasses not included

Panasonic TC-P55ST50

With the Panasonic TC-PST50 series you get accurate colors and solid black level performance in a nicely styled plasma HDTV, but the panel doesn?t get very bright, and 3D glasses are not part of the deal.

Excellent color accuracy. Good black levels. Robust audio output. Sleek design

Not very bright. Uses lots of power. Only three HDMI ports. 3D glasses not included

The Panasonic P55ST50 is a tastefully designed 55-inch plasma HDTV that delivers very accurate colors, deep dark blacks, and wide off-angle viewing. Its $1,700 price tag is not unreasonable considering its performance, but you'll end up spending around...

Panasonic TC-P55ST50

The Panasonic TC-P55ST50 ($1699 MSRP) is a large plasma screen TV, displaying 1080p HD images with 3D and internet connectivity, that is supposed to be an improvement on last year's ST30 model. The improvements that Panasonic purports are better 3D...

Though the Panasonic TC-P55ST50 ($1699 MSRP) may have some great attributes, it lacks in some area of convenience concerning the internet and 3D.

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 Plasma HDTVReview

Who needs a picture window when you have Panasonic's TC-P55ST50 3D Plasma HDTV?

Whether you want 3D at all or think you don't need all the smart TV connectivity isn't really the issue here. The TC-P55ST50 offers picture quality that is so good at such a reasonable price that the 3D and Smart TV features come along for the ride. It...

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 Review – 55-inch Plasma HDTV

Panasonic TC-P55ST50

This TV does have one of the highest refresh rates in our top ten televisions. Active 3D glasses are pricey, but it would be nice if they included just one pair. However, it does have an excellent picture and satisfactory 3D capabilities. There are...

This TV can convert 2D images into a 3D experience

The Panasonic TC-P55ST50 does not have as many ports as other 3D TVs

Aside from a few connectivity issues, this is a satisfactory 3D TV.

Some inital problems/frustrations, but still very happy in the end

So after four (4) hours of searching for replacement screws & then half an hour putting the tv together (not a bad build time) I fired up the TV. After a quick software update I was able to immeidately log into netflixs via the on board application...

Huge viewing screen ; Great color ; Easy to navigate menus ; Decent weight

First, I placed my order on the morning of Monday 7/16/2012, yet it wasn't shipped until that Friday, and it wasn't received until 7/25/2012. Now to someone who buys the tv and doesn't care about when it arrives that timeline probably isn't a big deal....

Have no fears!

Could of used one more HDMI port, but you still have several other ways of hooking up your media.

I searched the web over review after review of the Panasonic TC-P55ST50. First of all, the reviews are correct, this is one of the best deals on Newegg. The picutre of this TV is awesome! Everytime I see the quality of the picture I remain amazed. This...
