Panasonic TC-P55ST60

I've written TV reviews for more than 10 years, but I'm pretty sure this one is the most important. I'll cut to the chase: if you value picture quality, don't have money to burn, and don't game seriously enough to worry about input lag , you should buy...

The Panasonic TC-PST60 series has a reasonable price, incredibly good picture quality with exceedingly deep black levels, great shadow detail, accurate colors, solid bright-room performance, and superb off-angle and uniformity characteristics; it also...

Worse 3D quality than many competing TVs; not as suited to extremely bright rooms as some LCD models; consumes more power than LCD TVs; introduces significant input lag.

The midlevel price and outstanding quality of the Panasonic TC-PST60 series make it our strongest TV recommendation ever.

"Awesome picture...after break-in"

I have researched Panasonic TV's for over 5 months. Switching from GT50, to VT50, to eventually landing the ST60. I'm glad I did.

User interface is impressive and easy to navigate

Sound is average

"Insane!! Cannot stop watching this TV!!"

No TV in the market currently can compare to the Quality of this TV given the price. You cannot beat it period! I only ask one thing "Panasonic, given OLED doesn't look like it is going to be mainstream any time soon, please do not stop making Plasmas,...

Picture is unbeatable for the price

uses more power than an LED

"This is the TV you've been waiting for"

I temporarily had a Panasonic tcp65gt50 last year, and i couldn't wait to hand over money to keep it....what an amazing set, after watching 2 minutes of avatar i was hooked, after watching avatar in 3d for the 10th time i was the last...

Insane Picture quality

input lag, i don't have enough time to watch this tv enough!

"Amazing picture quality, even better price"

I'm very, very happy with this TV. The size and the images I've seen from it are ridiculous, and I'm pinching myself over the price. The display did take a little adjusting out of the box (I prefer Home Theater mode, with a few tweaks), but once those...

-Deep black levels

-Some input lag for gamers

"An Outstanding TV for the 99%"

I am definitely not a videophile but am a techie. So when searching for a TV to replace our twenty year old Sony tube (which is still great) I was able to catch on pretty quickly to new features. Our list was fairly simple: light TV viewing, medium...

+ Superb colors and black level

- TV inputs are in a weird position close to the left edge of the TV and could cause certain stiff HDMI/etc cables to be noticeable

"I'm very disaapointed on PANASONIC, manufacturer defect"

I bouht Panasonic - 50" Class (49-9/10" Diag.) - Plasma - 1080p - 600Hz - Smart - 3D - HDTV from Panaonic online December last year for 771.00 dlls, Very cheap hu, well they were trying to get rid of it. Don't buy thus TV it has a DEFECT FROM...

My TV has a spider craked from the inside screen. I called Panasonic, they said physical damage is not covered by warranty even though the crack is due to a manufacturer defect. There is not evidence of abuse on the outside screen.

Manufacturer Defect. Don't send pictures to PANASONIC if you have the same problems. Technicians made a diagnostic based on pics I sent. PAN Refused to send a Technician home to take a look at the TV. I've read online costumers had the same problem.

"Extremely Impressive Plasma"

I bought the 65" version of set last weekend just in time for the NCAA tournament final four. It was barely in stock anywhere...I didn't quite realize how new the set was, I just knew that last years version was highly rated and I'm a plasma fan. This...

Terrific picture quality, attractive design, great feature set, and oh, did I mention the picture.

Absolutely none so far.

To take full advantage of a TV of this quality you need to spend time calibrating and once you're done, sit back and enjoy. At the price and way beyond it is ridiculous how much better plasma technology is over LED. The fluid motion and natural shadow...

OK but a little over-hyped

A good 55" tv but not as great as all the hype. Compared side by side with Samsung ES7100. Although the picture was slightly more natural initially on the plasma, I found that by turning down the Samsung backlit etc.. I got a sharper, more clear...
