Panasonic TC-P65VT60

The Panasonic VT60 series of plasma HDTVs deliver a stunning picture with bold colors and inky blacks. Features are abundant, but these screens don't come cheap.

Very dark blacks. Rich, accurate colors. Generous feature set.

Expensive. Only three HDMI ports. Screen could be brighter.

Conclusion Dark blacks and vibrant colors are the hallmark of any great plasma HDTV, and the pricey Panasonic TC-P60VT60 delivers on both counts. It doesn't get as bright as our current Editors' Choice for high-end plasma sets, the Samsung PN60F8500,...

Panasonic TC-P65VT60

The VT60 is an excellent plasma with the best dark-room image quality you'll see this year not powered by light-emitting diodes . It is a shade better than the Kuro we've been using as a reference these long years, it beats the Samsung F8500 in...

The Panasonic VT60 produces the second-best picture quality of any TV we've ever reviewed, equal to or better than our in-house Pioneer Kuro reference and surpassed only by the ZT60; exceedingly deep black levels and excellent shadow detail;...

Extremely expensive; worse bright-room picture than that of the Samsung F8500; somewhat humdrum design; camera is limited, and facial recognition is a gimmick.

The Panasonic VT60 has one of the best pictures of any TV we've ever reviewed, and matches the best-ever in dark rooms.

PANASONIC TC-P65VT60 Review – 65-inch PLASMA HDTV

The P55VT60 with its exceptional Infinite Black Ultra Panel and glass metal design can easily woo you into buying it. With a 3000 focused field drive the TV produces crisp, clean 2D motion pictures. However, the additional features like voice and...

Panasonic TC-P65VT60 3D Plasma HDTV

If the Panasonic ZT60 series is the company's statement product for 2013, the VT60 is an update of its long-running VT flagship line. What's in that silly little one-letter difference? Less than you might expect, and more. For starters, the ZT60 line...

Panasonic offers a compelling choice in top-quality plasmas. So will it be the ST60, VT60, or ZT60? I didn’t have the ST on hand here, but the measurements suggest that its black level, while not quite extending to the depths of the VT60 and ZT60, is...

Panasonic TC-P65VT60 3D Plasma HDTV

With performance nearly identical to the flagship ZT60 series, Panasonic's VT60 offers state-of-the-art image quality at a more affordable price. My AV installer is recommending I go with the LG 60PN5700: Thanks Sebastian Thanks I'm a little confused...

: First-rate blacks and shadow detail • Impeccable color and resolution

: Color decoder error calls for care in calibration • Adequate but not terribly bright 3D

Panasonic TC-P65VT60 1080p Plasma TV Review

One of the greatest characteristics of the picture performance of the TC-P65VT60 series TV once calibrated is the exceptional deep rich black levels produced by the Infinite Black Ultra Panel. This panel is actually comprised of the Infinite Black Pro...

- The Cinema setting bumps up the color saturation and gives pictures a warm tone
