Review: Panasonic Viera TH-P50V11

This plasma TV performs just as well as or better than a Pioneer Kuro in many areas at a surprisingly reasonable price.

Deep blacks and rich colors; judder-free pictures; film-like visuals; unique "single sheet of glass" design; IDTV; four HDMI inputs; onboard AVCHD playback; affordable

Soft regular broadcast quality; bass distorts when driven hard; less than optimized component-video and PC inputs

The Panasonic Viera TH-P50V11 is shaping up to be the much-anticipated Kuro killer with smoother motion, though it still possesses a few minor flaws.

"Excellent TV But not Perfect"

I disagree with the memper Coffebeanz when he menshined the {11 has a poor qulity with SD sources (because here we missjudging the V11 in her spcelist which is .!! HDThe other things in the TV have been shown above frome the members..

Black level is very good compared with other TV in the market (LCD or Plasma)

Comparing black level with the Kuro G9 is unfare to the pioneer legend

"Almost an all-rounder"

When this Viera was first released in Hong Kong, I hesitated to wait for price reduction but after reading positive reviews from USA and UK, I decided to splurge on it.The HD reproduction on HD-DVDs and Blu-ray discs is simply astonishing and detailed....

Stunning HD quality with THX option

No VieraNet feature (like those in US/Europe/Japan) and poor SD quality
