Philips 40PFL5705D/F7

The Philips 40PFL5705D/F7 comes with three preinstalled apps. It doesn't have a full browser or an app store, but you can still do a lot with the apps that Philips has included. Although the remote isn't as handy as some we reviewed, it can still help...

This internet TV has four 20-watt speakers - twice the speakers at twice the wattage of any other TV we reviewed

The Philips 40PFL5705D/F7 internet TV only has three apps and doesn't have an app store

As long as you're happy with the available apps and low DCR, you'll enjoy this internet TV.

This is an excellent television.

This is an excellent television, the picture is beautiful and the television function very well. I haven't had a single issue with the television, the built in applications are great. I connect the tv to the internet via an ethernet cable and it has...

Excellent picture, refresh rate is twice that of many more expensive televisions, it is bright and all features work very well

Well, I can't think of any other than perhaps it isn't wireless on it's own

Nice looking model.

After it's purchase we realized this and tried to do software update and it would not do this. When we went online to try and find the software, we would always see that there was no software, although the tv itself would say onscreen that an update...

Shows beautiful pictures

Will not consistently allow connection to the internet

Net TV works fine-WIFI Mediaconnect does not

The wireless connection to the internet is nice but it really sucks that I am unable to use the WIFI Mediaconnect feature and project my PC to the TV. It was one of the major selling points. Philips tech support was no help whatsoever. They made alot...

Price was great($685). Picture is fabulous. Came with a WIFI dongle. Internet ready. Net TV includes Netflix, Twitter and vTuner

Net TV only includes Netflix, Twitter and vTuner. The tv is supposed to allow projecting PC image to tv through wifi dongle. The WIFI Mediaconnect has never worked and I have gotten little to no tech support from Philips to make it work

excellent picture quality, great price!

So far, very happy with this TV! Bought it on sale (actually cheaper at Overstock.com, sorry Newegg) after doing a lot of comparison shopping. It was a bit of a gamble because I never got to see it in-person - not many stores carry Philips TV's, and...

This TV has many image-enhancing features you can control. If you leave some of the original factory settings, the picture can actually look mediocre. But with the right adjustments, the overall quality looks excellent! Crisp images, smooth motion (ex....

The default picture settings are not the best, so when you first turn the TV on it looks a bit flat, but don't worry ; Turn Active Control OFF. With most channels, if you have Active Control on, the contrast will seem way too dim ; I'd also suggest...
