Philips 42PFL6188S review

The 42-inch Philips 42PFL6188S Full HD flatscreen may be prettier than most, but it's still got a stubborn streak when it comes to setup

Slimline design ; Ambilight mood lighting ; High quality audio system

HD looks overly processed ; Limited smart TV portal ; Basic EPG

Philips 42PFL6188S

A strong performing mid-range 42-inch TV.

Good 2D and 3D picture quality ; Sleek design ; Decent audio

Sluggish and underpopulated Smart TV system ; Black levels can be bettered if you spend more ; Needs lots of TLC with its set up

All things considered, the Philips 42PFL6188S appears to be the better deal considering both sell for the same price.
