Intermittent Menu Popups After a Year or So

2010 update to my 2008 comment: I still had the problem after downloading the latest driver, but eventually the problem just stopped. Don't know what fixed it, but it stopped shortly after I used canned air down the slots on the top of the TV to blow...

Intermittent Menu Popups After a Year or So

The TV menu keeps popping up by itself, often 5-7 times in row! Just do a search on Google for "Philips menu pop" and see just how bad this issue is. This model is what we have, but it appears to not be limited to just this Philips model alone. There's...

A great HD TV for a decent price

I came home from college for summer break and much to my surprise there in my living room was a brand new HDTV. Mind you, beforehand all our televisions were run of the mill televisions even though technology had far surpassed them. Of course I was ...

Awesome TV, fantastic picture....

This TV is great--we bought it at Costco as well for <$1400 shipped to the house, and it has not disappointed us at all. We don't even have the HD service hooked up yet either, and we haven't missed it. No problems so far and it has been 2 months...

Phillips 42

Even though I have read some horror stories about this company's lack of support I decided to take a chance and buy one from Costco.

Nice design, pleasing to the eye.

Picture quality was not as good as some of the competition. Poor build quality. Very poor support.
