PHILIPS 47PFL 7422 LCD TV

It's about time we reviewed a large screen high-end LCD TV, for two reasons: it's Diwali shopping season, and it's been a while since we saw some real 1080p action...

All said, this is a good TV, to say the least. It performs like a pro, and full HD is good thing (I can't wait for the formats to arrive here in a big way). This device can be considered if budget is not a problem, though it performs best only in its...

PHILIPS 47PFL 7422 LCD TV - Tech2

Good stuff but at a price, so if quality matters to you this massive 47-incher might be worth a look...

Philips TV

People complain about the speakers for this T.V. I don't know why because they're awesome. But I upgraded from a 26" tube T.V so anything was a drastic improvement. I bought this from a major retailer but thought I'd drop my 2 cents for anyone out...

First buy into the HDTV scene and I couldn't be happier! What a great price! The installation was super easy. The stand for the T.V is definitely no joke. My XBox looks AMAZING pumping though the HDMI! The menu screen is so friendly, video and audio...

I didn't get one earlier, lol

EXCELLENT LCD TV

Love it!

The Philips 42PFL7422D is my first venture into LCD televisions and I couldn't be more pleased. Setup is EXTREMLY easy as the set runs you through a series of screen shots and asks you to pick the one that looks best to you to fine tune the set on...

The remote looks a feels cheap, Philips could have done better. I recommend you look into a good universal such as a Logitech Harmony if you buy this set. Startup is somewhat slow, but not a show stopper. I estimate 5 to 10 seconds. I would have liked...

Great deal

Even with the ghosting issue this tv is still a great LCD and is worth the price , i do plan on calling Philips customer service to see what the deal with this 5ms and ghosting thing.

Bright , clear image with any of the inputs. Color and contrast is way better than most other LCD's at this price , and speaking of inputs it has every thing you need for most game consoles and other home theater devices. And i actually don't mind the...

Here's why it doesn't get 5 eggs , Ghosting! it something i thought I'd never see since the last 42" 1080p Westinghouse had a 8ms pixel refresh rate and had absolutely zero ghosting yet this Philips has a 5ms refresh rate and i see it on most of my...

Great value

I'd been dragging my feet for months about getting a true HD TV for a while, I settled on Philips because most of the home theater equipment I have is Philips and I've had great luck with it. This same set runs around $1300-$1500 locally, and I managed...

Great image quality, when I bought it there was a $100 MIR and instant $100 discount as well. All the connections you'd ever need except DVI/VGA. Very easy to use interface, the contrast/sharpness and perfect pixel HD functions are very good. You go...

I see a little bit of ghosting when playing games from my HTPC on it. For your average user, you won't notice a whole lot, but having been there and done that, I would've expected a little better, but it's not a dealbreaker by any means. Backlighting...

1080p is great

My xbox 360 looks great in 1080p

It heats up my room, but it's nothing I can't live with

Better than expected

I think that is it...good buy...hope it lasts

If you don't know a whole lot about HD and settings than this is the tv for you...it has this awesome feature called HD Pixeling...basically the tv is constantly adjusting your brightness, contrast, and everything else to give you the best picture for...

Three things...OPTIMAL OUTPUT...don't know why they didn't put one on here and they also should have put an DVI or VGA connection so that a computer can be hooked up, but no bother. Secondly, like a lot of people have said the sound is not good, but if...
