Performance

Pioneer PRO-FHD1

Accurate colors; excellent detail with 1080 resolution material; can reproduce deep blacks; extensive picture controls including color temperature and primary color adjustments; comprehensive connectivity including two HDMI and one DVI input; smooth...

Extremely expensive; lacks speakers, stand, and tuner; subpar 480p picture quality.

Although its price puts it out of reach for most buyers, the Pioneer PRO-FHD1 delivers superb picture quality and color accuracy.

Test Bench: Pioneer PRO-FHD1 50-inch 1080p Plasma Monitor

Overscan - the amount of picture area "hidden" behind the edges of the TV's screen - measured 3% for both the HDMI and component-video inputs when the Full display mode was selected, and 0% in its Dot for Dot mode. Both 1080i/p and 720p-format test...
