Great HD picture, 2 HDMI inputs!, quiet, thin and lightweight.

Poor UP-Convert quality for non-HD programming. Echo effect when using in combination with home theatre.

Improved image, worse audio

I've been hooked on Samsung DLP TV since their first generation was introduced and have seen the latest models each year at Consumer Electronics Show (CES in Vegas). HL-S5086W is the latest 50" which appeared at retailers in April 2006. Took one home ...

50" screen fits in space of former 46" DLP set.

No PIP, cheaper sound (until you add Samsung HT-Q40 Home Theatre System, sold separately)
