Samsung HP

Whether you are in a dark room or in broad daylight, the picture remains amazingly crisp and vibrant, thanks to Samsung's FilterBright anti reflection technology. Even in moonlit scenes, the HP-T4254's 15,000:1 contrast ratio and 18-bit technology let...

Samsung Hpt5054

The Samsung HPT5054 is an excellent choice for buyers wanting excellent quality, but aren't ready to pay for 1080p just yet

Great picture, but doesn't last -- dead after 2 years

Unfortunately Samsung's beautiful picture is not part of a set that is built to last. The power supply/bad capacitor problem is epidemic on the plasma sets, but Samsung will only offer gratis support on LCD models. If you can afford to pay these prices...

At the time we bought it, this set had the nicest picture at the price point

After 2 years, this set developed the power supply problem (clicking on and off repeatedly) that has been widely reported, but Samsung wont make good on the plasma sets. Estimated repair cost nearly equals the cost of a new set, given today's prices

Burn-in issues & power supply failure after ONE YEAR!

I will never buy another Samsung product again. My 42" plasma was a lemon. My home theater surround sound was a lemon and died after 4 months. My cell phone screen went black. Bottom line-- NEVER EVER buy Samsung.

I honestly can't think of any "pros" with this product

Don't buy if you want it to last

Do not Buy this TV in fact do not buy a Samsung at all. If they can't stand behind their product I will never buy again. I have to now pay to fix the issue as they told me it is only LCD. My TV still looks new and was great. I hate companies that do...

Great picture for the price. I really like the TV

I have had TV for 3 years and then the power issue came up. It is a plasma and Samsung told me they have no issues with power supply well guess what me and everyone else can't be wrong. The TV turns on then turns itself off and clicks. Don't buy

Want it to last 2 years or something else

In the last two years with Samsung's DVD and Blu-Ray players, their TV line is suffering catastrophic failures. I was recently directed to other brands of Blu-Ray players at a large retailer, due to the same reliability issues. Samsung needs better...

Price was competitive. Feature set was excellent. At the time of purchase, Samsung had an excellent customer service track record and reliability rating. No longer true

At the reported two year mark, the TV started the "clicking power" problem that's been reported in thousands of Samsung flat panel TVs. Problem is, Samsung denies that it's happening to the plasmas.....they will repair the LCDs

If you want a TV that will last, look elsewhere

I have bought various Samsung products in the past, among them a VCR on which the power supply had to be replaced, and which eventually just died. I should have learnt from that experience. I enjoyed my HP-T4254 until it started with the on-off...

Good picture - while it lasted anyway

Lasted all of 29 months, which is the worst of all TV's I've owned. In fact, I have not had any problems with any of my previous TV's

Short lifetime for an expensive plasma TV.

Stopped working after 20 months, same problem as many others have reported, the Tv turns off and makes a clicking noise.

When it was working, the picture was clean

The sound is not great

TV starts cutting off prior to complete failure

I purchased a Samsung HPT4254 on our about Sept. 19th 2007. About two weeks ago I started experiencing problems with the TV. It would randomly turn off and cycle repeatedly for a few minutes before returning to normal function. I thought this might be...

Good TV till it breaks

It breaks and Samsung won't support it

Dies in less than two years. Research it on the web!!!

Samsung knows that T4254 and T5054 models have a serious problem but refuse to admit it. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG!!! You will be sorry you did. I basically rented a plasma for 20 months for $2000!!!! Research Samsung problems on the web before you waste your...
