Samsung PN60E8000

The Samsung PNE8000 is easily the most full-featured plasma TV on the market; no other can touch its sheer doodad-ification. It's the opposite of a " dumb monitor, " building in not only the most app-happy Smart TV suite available, but also voice and...

The Samsung PNE8000 series exhibited outstanding overall picture quality, characterized by exceedingly deep black levels, accurate colors, superb video processing, and very good 3D. Unlike LCDs, as a plasma TV it has superb off-angle and uniformity...

Samsung charges too much for extra features that are largely unnecessary and poorly implemented. Its picture delivers slightly worse shadow detail and bright-room performance than some competitive plasmas, and its maximum light output is somewhat dim.

The expensive Samsung PNE8000 series comes through with stellar picture quality, but its main appeal is to people who crave the latest gadgetry in their plasma TV.

Samsung PN60E8000 Review – 60-inch Plasma HDTV

The set is one of the higher end plasma HDTV sets launched by Samsung. Along with active 3D compatibility and 1080p HD resolution, the model also supports some of the networking and connectivity features offered by desktop computers. In addition to...

Samsung has further made the TV set usable just like a desktop computer by including a set of smart and wireless internet access option. In addition to the built in Wi-Fi and web browser, the model is also designed with dual core processor, camera and...

Samsung PN60E8000 3D Plasma Review

“Saturated” is a small word compared to all the features that the PN60E8000 encapsulates. It is very much like the PN60D8000 that we enjoyed reviewing so much from 2011. It looks awesome, is super thin, has that fine matte black finish and all that...

The Real Black Pro Panel in this Plasma TV combines structural advancements to go even further into black levels making software improvements and "tightening" the ribbons between the RGB pixel cells. This gives the TV a better surface area for color...

Samsung PS60E8000

The Samsung PS60E8000 plasma TV is huge, it's about as "smart" as they currently get, it delivers an excellent picture — and it's a bargain.

Excellent picture ; Very Good 3D ; Excellent network feature set ; Great value for money

Poor choice of some default settings ; No Motion smoothing available

The Samsung PS60E8000 plasma may not be quite as elegant as the company's top-of-the-line LCD, but it is bigger, lower in cost, better in 3D and identically capable in networking. We know which we prefer.

It's huge, it's smart, and it's plasma. Samsung's E8000 model offers savings over LED-LCD with very little not to like.

"Rebooting Power Down Problem - Google before buying."

I believe this $2500 Samsung model PN60E8000 is unreliable due to engineering factory defect. It reboots itself every 2 to 10 minutes. It started rebooting occasionally within the first 12 months of use. After it started rebooting regularly, I finally...

Good picture with lots of nice features when it was not rebooting. Samsung guaranteed they would fix it. They did try to fix it, but failed.

Reboots itself every few minutes. Samsung's recommended service companies will not return my calls even though Samsung itself guaranteed the repair by phone.

"hate the led like flickering when going black"

I have bought 3 different Samsung Plasma's in a 3 year period and I like the first two all 8000 series. This new one does something I do not like it acts like an LED when the screen goes black it turns itself off which causes flickering of the screen....

nice color

poor speakers

"Our first tv was faulty and second lasted 7 days."

It's our 2nd Samsung tv the first was an LCD which lasted 4 years & broke down. Seriously thought they would have improved but clearly they got worse. Never again. What a waste of $2500.....

When the tv works the picture is excellent.

Two brand new tv's broken down in a matter of 10 days. At no stage have Samsung apologised for this and they have been very frustrating to deal with. Still waiting to hear when we can receive a replacement...

"Great improvement from the D8000 series."

Samsung fixed the two major issues that plagued the D8000 series which were the screen peeling of the thin anti-reflective film, and the most annoying, the "brightness pop" issue which was really bad. I honestly think that Samsung used the D8000 series...

Outstanding overall picture. The black levels are crazy deep, deeper than the D8000. The whites are 30% brighter than last years model, and the 3D is amazing!!! Try watching Avatar 3D or Tron Legacy 3D on this thing, you'll be blown away.

Unnecessary gimmicky options like voice and gesture control. The 3D glasses that come with the TV sucks(they flicker too much)so buy the Samsung SSG-3100GB 3D glasses instead. The touch remote sucks so use the standard remote that also comes with it
