Outshines similar Panasonic

I tested both the Samsung PN42B450 and the Panasonic P42X1 plasmas in my home. In this price range, the Samsung is clearly superior to the Panasonic. The Samsung has better color fidelity, picture detail, and a wider range of user adjustments. By...

Excellent color fidelity, picture clarity, and user menu adjustments

Had to return first unit due to excessive "crackling" noises made by the plastic TV frame when the unit warmed up. Second unit is perfect

Burn in after 6 weeks of use!

I am a consumer who tends to buy major purchases and hangs onto them for a long period of time. This year, we finally decided to purchase a new plasma tv for the Super Bowl. We did our homework and read over feedback from many websites rating new flat...

good screen sharpness ; set up was easy ; seemed like a great plasma for the money

burned in image after 6 weeks of normal use ; customer service advice was not helpful

It is great for the price!

For the money - as a second TV - no complaints.

Nice picture - can't tell the difference between my 46 Samsung LCD that was twice the price. We have it in the bedroom hooked into a Dish DVR and it works fine in thisroom where sun/glare is never an issue

None - menu isn't as rich as the newer models, but that is it

Great TV, particularly at this price range

Please do not let my "cons" comment steer you away from this TV. I am absolutely thrilled with it. The picture quality is tremendous, and I tend to mess with settings a little too much for a couple of months until I get one setting that I really like....

Eye popping colors, great QAM Tuner

So many picture controls, you almost can't quit playing with them

Surprised and satisfied.

For the low price ($599 HHGregg in OH)I am completely satisfied with this unit. Replaced my Toshiba 52DLP with this for everyday viewing. Excellent picture. Upconverting DVD just fine. I do not use Blue Ray. No need for higher level model, bells and...

Excellent picture via HDMI on HD Cable and DVD

Best I could find for the price & picture quality

I thought I would never go down to a 720p but after reading cnet a number of times & found they think 1080p not very important in 42" or less finally decided on this model-went to Best Buy with a list of the best quality tvs on sale in 32 to 42 sizes &...

Excellent for bedroom-already have 2 top of the line expensive lcd & plasma so wanted budget price but great quality & found it-compared it to the other on sale tvs at best buy & agree that in 42" or smaller it really compares very well to 108

Great Picture - Great Price

This TV with a 3 year warranty and taxes was only $730. I compared picture quality of this screen with more costly plasmas and LCDs. I could not see any difference between 720p and 1080p on other plasmas. And since I don't intend spending more on a...

Bright picture. Deep colors. Only $599 at Fry's. $70 for a 3 year warrenty

No complaints so far

Love. It. WOW.

I literally spent hours comparing this TV to: - Various LCDs - Panasonic 42" 720p plasma - Panasonic, Samsung, LG 1080p plasmas Time and time again, I came back to this TV as the best choice. The price was unbeatable ($649 on sale at Sears). The...

The picture quality is outstanding. (What else would you buy an HDTV for if not a great picture?)

Nothing yet. Some have complained about the glare... yes, it's there. But give some thought to where you're putting the TV before you buy it. My living room has fairly low-level lighting, so this glare is not a problem for me at all
