Awesome TV

The remote is a keyboard too, it's nice but I don't know if I'll use it.

At 1st I had conserns about the delivery, and buying such an expensive TV online. But delivery was 3 days earlier than quoted and tv was shown to me before delivery driver left. Great Price and great picture. Fine tuning your tv settings helps out...

Invest in some good hdmi cables if you want a good 3D picture. Only one componant input. The 3D glasses were not in the box had to call samsung. But samsung was very cooperative and had the glasses in the mail in less than a day

Samsung Series 8 (PS59D8000) 3D plasma TV

The Samsung Series 8 (PS59D8000) is a 59in 3D plasma TV that builds on the high quality and impressive performance of last year's Series 7 plasma. It'...

Excellent picture quality ; Great design ; Impressive sound quality from a thin TV

The Series 6 might be slightly better value ; EPG is slow to load and navigate

The 2011 edition of Samsung's Series 8 plasma is, as we'd expected, an impressive piece of technology. Its sound and visuals are great, and the inclusion of various 'Smart TV' features makes the Series 8 a useful multimedia device as well as a...

Samsung Series 8 (UA55D8000) 3D LED TV

The Series 8 is Samsung's top-tier LED TV, with all the features of lesser TVs as well as boosts to picture quality and video processing. If you can a...

Excellent design ; Plenty of integrated features ; Best-in-class Full HD image quality

Inbuilt Web browser is mediocre ; QWERTY remote is initially confusing ; Standard definition upscaling isn't as good as Sony's

The Samsung Series 8 (UA55D8000) 3D LED TV is one of the best panels on the market for watching Full HD content. The level of detail it can display from a high quality source is excellent. It's also packed full of features -- even if some of them...

Samsung Series 8 3D plasma TV

Samsung's Series 8 plasma TV was announced at CES 2011, along with the Samsung Series 8 LED TV and Samsung Series 7 LED TV. It's got all the fancy fea...

Thinner bezel means larger screen sizes, cool touchscreen remote

We didn't like the Series 9's remote control

Samsung's Series 8 3D plasma TV looks to be a near-identical design to the Series 8 3D LED TV, with a thin chrome bezel and a four-legged stand. If past experience proves true, it should have equal or superior picture quality and a lower price tag.

Great Media@2.0 features, vibrant picture, ultra-modern styling, adjustable 200Hz mode

Backlight clouding under specific conditions, can't easily use analog connectors when wall-mounted

Apart from some problems with the LED backlighting under very specific test conditions, the Samsung UA46B8000 LED television has exceptionally good picture quality: 200Hz motion smoothing and a high dynamic contrast ratio combine to make even...

Samsung Series 8 UE46B8000 - 46in LCD TV

John takes a look at the top of the range version of Samsung's ultra-thin LED backlit TV range, the UE46B8000.

Despite initial concerns that the UE46B8000's edge-based LED lighting might heavily compromise the TV's picture quality in the name of nothing more substantial than a little extra design slimness, as well as another set of dismal image presets, this is...

Samsung's slim LCD excellent quality

MEASURING just under 2", the Samsung LA52A850 is the thinnest big screen TV on the market to date.

Impressive blacks, great colours, sharp image, lots of features, ultra-thin design

Some noticeable uniformity issues, a little detail lost in dark areas, large screen reveals more of the flaws in standard-definition footage

Another great TV from Samsung, the Series 8 offers the same excellent image quality and features found in its other units. However, its awkward positioning in the company's range may turn off some users who are willing to spend a little more to get the...
