Samsung UE48HU7500 review

The perfect 'bridge' TV between Full HD & Ultra HD

Smart Hub apps ; Extra 4K detail ; Handles 4K Netflix ; Plays back 4K MP4 ; Colours & motion

Not big enough for 4K ; Frustrating speech activation

Ratings in depth The fear of their new purchase becoming instantly obsolete is rife among TV buyers, but choosing to buy a thoroughly future-proof Ultra HD 4K telly is a big step in more ways than one.

Samsung UE48HU7500 review

A great-looking 4K TV at a reasonable price, but you'll have to put in the work to get the best picture and 3D isn't great

Samsung UE48HU7500 review

Some very minor flaws, but – if you can afford it – this is a fabulous way to go 4K at a smaller screen size

Beautiful 4K No sacrifice at lower resolutions Dynamic, natural pictures

Price No swivel on stand

The ultimate value of 4K is, of course, up to you, the end user – but as to whether 4K resolution is even noticeable at 48in, the answer is a resounding ‘yes’. If the size is right for you, we certainly recommend taking the plunge.

Samsung UE48HU7500

It may only be 48-inches but this telly still shows the benefits of 4K

Outstanding UHD picture quality ; Good price for UHD ; Excellent TV streaming support

Input lag is rather high ; 48-inch screen not as aggressive at showing UHD benefits as large screens ; Picture presets could be better

We sometimes also felt the need to nudge down the UE48HU7500’s sharpness a bit, to stop pictures looking a touch noisy or stressy around the edges of objects. But the crucial thing to finish on is that while a little set-up work is required, the...

Samsung UE48HU7500 (HU7500) Ultra HD 4K TV Review

Samsung's UE48HU7500 turns out to be another belting Ultra HD 4K TV.

Excellent black levels and contrast ; Superior dimming system ; Colours near perfect ; Gorgeous design ; Truckloads of smart features ; Almost all major VoD & Streaming services present

Perhaps 48-inches is a tad small for 4K

The Samsung UE48HU7500 is another beautiful looking TV from Samsung. It’s simple and understated but it works and the two-tone, gliding base stand complements the bezel and chassis perfectly. You get a choice of remote controls with one that is very...

Worth the wait

I waited a while to get the TV, but it was worth the wait. Installation was very straight forward and the picture quality (after some minor adjustments) is superb. The sound is a little lacking but once it was wired into my home cinema it wasn't a...

Superb picture quality and not too deep

Great 2D and 3D picture quality. Dual freesat is great as can connect a separate hard drive for recording another channel. Screen has a flat back which keeps it very close to the wall.Newer models seem to have another 30mm behind them.

No UHD (YET) but superb picture

Bought as an ex service product. Not in any way disappointed. It appears to be brand new - no evidence that it has ever been used. TV has received excellent reviews and I can only say that it lives up to them.It is quite a lengthy process to set it up...
