Samsung UE65KS9500 review

Samsung's flagship UHD/HDR TV sets new standards

Stunning HDR picture quality ; Appealing curved screen design ; Good sound quality ; Effective HDR upscaling

Some HDR backlight issues ; Striping with UHD Blu-rays ; Curved screen distorts reflections ; No 3D support

The UE65KS9500 produces hands down the most dramatic demonstration of what new HDR technology is capable of. Its brightness in particular is unprecedented, which helps it deliver a much fuller sense of HDR's expanded light range and colour capabilities...

Samsung UE65KS9500 review: Curved 4K HDR excellence

Samsung's flagship television delivers astonishing HDR picture quality - and it's pretty good at everything else, too

Dazzling HDR presentation ; Superb gaming responsiveness ; Effective anti-reflection screen filter

Occasional motion stutter ; Posterisation in some HDR scenes ; Curved screen catches reflections

It might not emerge from our stringent tests with a completely clean bill of health, but then few TVs do – and make no mistake, the Samsung UE65KS9500 is one of the best TVs we’ve reviewed, especially if you can find it cheaper than its original £2,899...

Samsung UE65KS9500

The £3,800 UE65KS9500 is Samsung's flagship 65-inch TV for 2016. It's chock-full of headline-grabbing features: an unprecedented, HDR-friendly peak brightness of 1,400 nits, a direct backlight system with local dimming, quantum dot colours, a curved...

Samsung UE65KS9500

The picture quality is amazing, especially the up-scaling of non 4K digital signals. Very easy to use with one small niggle described next...

At start-up there is too little time allowed to find the type of signal or app you want to choose, if you are too slow you have to select 'Source' and then start again and again and ...... The speakers in the set are totally inadequate and a separate...

It's brilliant especially the 4k . I also have Sky Q. Can't fault this Tv.

Would like to get on demand All 4. Heard it was coming sometime this year.

Samsung UE65KS9500

Wow what a picture. It's a different viewing experience that's hard to describe but very lifelike and almost 3D like at times. The smart remote brings the convenience and ease of home entertainment together.

Besides cost there isn't too much.

Samsung UE65KS9500

Fantastic colour depth, and picture, upscaling HD content is out of this world and the 4k picture on Sky Q and streaming of 4k from Netflix and amazon is awesome.

Quite expensive

Best Samsung TV To Date!

Every aspect of this tv is excellent. Picture Quality is truly unrivalled even against oled. HDR is very pretty and vibrant indeed. The Tv automatically recognised my Virgin media Tivo box and Xbox one S just by pointing the remote at them. I bought...
