With the Samsung ES6500F series you get spot-on colors, two sets of 3D glasses, and a nice catalog of web apps, but this slender LED-backlit HDTV doesn?t get very bright or very black.

With the UN46ES6500 (MSRP $1,729), Samsung is clearly making a statement in terms of design. Its all-black finish and attractive base will immediately garner attention. If TVs were based solely on how they look, this would be a clear recommendation....

Sleek design ; Very good picture quality ; Strong Smart TV platform with a good app selection

The internet browser is nothing special

The Samsung UN46ES6500 (MSRP $1,729) is loaded with great features like Smart TV functionality, 3D, and media sharing via USB, just to name a few. Samsung deserves credit for not only implementing these features, but doing them very well.

The easy-to-use Samsung UN46ES6500 offers an excellent selection of streaming content for a reasonable price, but we found the TV's image quality disappointing.
