Samsung UNES8000 review

The Samsung UNES8000 LED TV boasts stunning design and more features than any TV on the market. For that you'll pay dearly, but if you can afford it and want the cutting edge of TV technology in your living room -- pre-OLED , at least -- then stop...

The beautifully thin Samsung UNES8000 LED TV seems to have come from a year or two in the future. Its massive feature set includes a touch-pad remote, IR blaster, four pairs of 3D glasses, motion and voice command, and the industry's most capable Smart...

Lighter black levels and imperfect screen uniformity hamper its picture significantly, especially for such an expensive TV. Samsung charges too much for extra features that are largely unnecessary and poorly implemented.

Although it hits plenty of high points, the Samsung UNES8000 LED TV cannot ultimately justify its high price.

Samsung UNES8000

Samsung's OLED TV may have been the most advanced TV unveiled at their CES event, but the UNES8000 Smart LED TV will be the most likely to end up in consumers' living rooms. With a full complement of apps, a Kinect-like user interface that can read...

Gesture and voice control come standard ; New apps and cloud connectivity ; Improved localized dimming

Could be smarter than it needs to be

The ES8000 series is the flagship from TV behemoth Samsung, replete with all the features that the engineers have been brewing in their labs for the past 12 months. While other manufacturers are touting upgrades for performance, however minor,...

"Rubbish TV After a year the screen started to show vertical lines "

After a year you can see vertical lines all around the screen when I contacted Samsung they told me, sorry it's better to buy a new TV as the screen will cost me just as much as a new TV with same features. I could not believe such answer. Also they...

"Worst TV Ever!"

Had this TV for 2 months and worked great. All of a sudden it started glitching with random lines, frozen picture, and would reboot. This all started slowly at first and got progressively worse over time. Now its to the point that it doesnt even do...

"What works, works very well"

Check the blogs, but Samsung has had recurrent issues with the wifi. Out-of-the-box, it works well and then it just quits. It's less than 30 days, so I could have moved to a different TV, but the pros outweigh the cons considerably, so I am happy with...

Dual CPU is fast. OOTB, contrast amazing - blacks are deep as life & whites are as brilliant as the eye could take - easy to adjust to anything between. Great tones. $ for $ very good value. Primary use is visual, using a separate audio system.

Audio is typical of today's TVs - inadequate. Also, remote can't control volume on anything except the TV, even cable remote is better. Blurs on occasion. Not sure of recommended motion settings. Samsung still delivering wifi problems.

I replaced my 58" Samsung Plasma HDTV with this 60" LED and I'm not disappointed. At first I was a little disappointed with the black uniformity, but found out in calibration that using the "Movie" setting doesn't yet work well with uniformity. After I...

Best LED TV for the money on this price range.

Best LED TV for the money on this price range. This TV picture is plain WOW picture quality. Samsung did an awesome job on design, features and quality. Before I bought the TV I spend a lot of time researching different reviews about Sony, Panasonic,...

Vibrant color and accuracy Black Levels Best LED 3D quality Best Apps SmartHub. Best network integration with AllSharePlay. Best integration via wifi, bluetoth or USB. Evolution system for CPU and memory upgrade. Beautiful Design Integrated camera

1) Voice and Motion control is a feature that is cool but not something you will use everyday if use at all. It needs some improvements, the good thing is that they can be done via a firmware update.
